Alright I'll have a go.

802,678
But I think that might only be for the 22 H&A's ?

802,678 for the H&A
67,528 for the Injuryfest against Melb
= 870,206

This is our 5th highest ever (not bad with only one final).
But lower than the last two seasons.
Other bigger years were 1998 and of course 1997 which was our record year for total attendance (we just made the million mark) and average attendance (passed 40,000 which we also achieved last year).

2007 without Tasmanian games should see us break the 40,000 average again and hopefully with 3 (or 4) finals could break the million mark for a second time.

Compare that to the AFL Love-child clubs (Coll & Essendon) that get looked after in the draw......

Teams to top the million in attendance .....
Collingwood has been past one million 15 times.
Essendon 11
Richmond 6
Carlton 3
West Coast 1
StKilda 1 and
Adelaide once

Surprisingly Melb and Hawthorn and Sydney haven't got there.

OK
One of the best measures of when a forward line is really firing is when you have multiple goalkicking options.
eg one year North had 4 forwards kicking over 50 goals - The Horse, The King, The Fridge, and McAdam.

In terms of individual matches one measure of a forward line that is on fire is when 4 (or more) players kick 4 (or more) goals in the same game.

In the history of StKFC there have been just three occasions where 4 of our players kicked 4 or more goals in the same game

The second time it occured was R8 2004 v Collingwood at Docklands - Gehrig(5), Guerra(4), Kosi(4), and Milne(5)

Amazingly the third time it occurred was the very next week (game 9 of "the Streak" of 10 wins)
R9 2004 v WCE at Docklands - Gehrig(5), Guerra(7), Hamill(4) and Milne(4).

Question - when was our first incidence of 4 x 4 goalkickers and who were they ?

OWTS
I will give you some hints.
Sound logic but it WASN'T that famous day in Round 6 1978 when we set our club record score of 31.18 204.
Surprisingly that day we only had two players kicking >=4 goals The great George Young with 7 and Russell Greene with 5.
More surprisingly in the return match at Moorabbin in Round 17 we had 3 >=4 goalkickers - George kicked 4, Gary Lofts kicked 5 and big Jeff Sarau kicked 7.

Anyway back to the clues.
It wasn't early 90s but 2 of the three names you quoted are right.
The 3rd player is still very very much involved with the club.
And the other was a "tragic" a couldhavebeenanything were it not for dodgy knees, a drinking problem and a passion for gambling !

CB,
as Meatloaf said "3 out of 4 ain't bad"

It was R7 1987 v Richmond at Waverley
Plugger kicked 6,
Owen (the Saints) kicked 4,
Winmar got 4

But the other one was Kenny Sheldon (not Banger) with 4.
And we won !

Over to you ...

Not sure I deserve this, it was just a guess and I didn't have a clue about the game but here goes:

One of the great hangers of the '80s was taken by Max James at South Melbourne against us in 1980. You see it in all the highlight reels.

Standing in front of him with his back to the camera is number 41 for the Saints who was playing the last of his two games for us. Who is this unknown bystander?

Hints:
He also played three games for the Swans before joining the Saints
His surname is the same as a Brownlow Medalist
He also played in the infamous game at Moorabbin involving Phil Carman and Graham Carberry which was shown on Fox Footy a number of times.

Remember, this is goals per game from the player. Doesn't mean they have to have kicked 23 goals for the season.
