Sorry for forgetting about this thread. I asked the question about the CEO that used to play for St-K. It was Trevor O'Hoy at Fosters. Someone answered correctly about 4 pages ago.

Lol. No worries Sainterone.

Now to try and think of another question.

Pretty sure this might have been asked before, but if it hasn't thats great.

In that game just mentioned. Round 3 of 2004.
What was significant about the first 7 St.Kilda goals of that game.

That wasn't the game where they were all kicked left footed was it?
Maybe the G-Train got most of them - he got 5 that game...

Funny how useful? information sticks in your brain

The next Q is a Nick Riewoldt question in honour of his milestone game.

In 2004, how many (record) marks did Nick Riewoldt take?

In the First quarter of the prelim final against Port in 04 we kicked 4 goals 5 to Ports 4 goals straight.

So both teams booted 4 goals for the quarter.

What was the rather damning inside fifty stat for the first quarter? that shows a massive failure to capitalise.

I remember this as another useless stat lol.

OK - here's a Lenny Hayes tribute question...

A guy who ticked over the 3000 disposal mark in his 149th game (thereby averaging 20+ disposals per game), Lendog is known for his fierce tackling.

Lenny had a career high 13 tackles v wet toast in R9 2004 when we won by 101 points.

The Q - What is the Lendogs next best tackle count and against which team when?

Good enough OWTS,

Yes Lenny had 12 tackles in 2 games - both finals I think.

Well done. Your turn.

We had one famous 'Jones' play over 200 games for the Saints; he retired at the end of last season.

The question is: name the other Jones who has played for the Saints since Stan Alves became coach (so the last 14 years), the number he wore and how many games he played.

Sam Jones?
38?
3 games?

I think Bob Jones was before Alves' time.

Yes, well done. That was short lived :(

Sam Jones played 3 games for the Saints wearing #38 in 1994. You can view an article on him:
http://www.coodabeens.com.au/saintspick86.html

Don't remember him but was obviously touted as being okay ....

Your turn corr blimey

On the same theme, who was the last Smith to play for the Saints before Joel and the last Brown to play before Tony.

He came from South Australia but I can see why you might associate him with Footscray.

When I wrote the question I was thinking of Terry Smith from Richmond and Peter Brown from Carlton (both premiership players?).

But as you pointed out Rohan Smith played with us. He was bald but not from Footscray.

Glenn Brown (1982 - 85) did play after Peter Brown (1981 -82) but there was another Peter Brown who played 5 games in 1985-86. Ginger hair from memory. Maybe number 59?

Anyhow a good second effort deserves some reward. Your go.

There has been some talk of the re-introduction of a mid-season draft..

With that time of year approaching..who was St Kildas most successful mid-season draftee ? (ie played the most games for the Club)
