Last quarter, Round 3 2000 vs Eagles at the dome.
We have kicked a couple of goals to cut the margin to 9pts with about 5 minutes to go.
Stewart Loewe takes the ball out of the ruck and kicks it just forward from the centre bounce. Harvey is running onto the loose ball but has an eagle running straight at him, he cant take posession because he will be tackled, so he soccers the ball off the ground around the player then runs past him gathers, runs to fifty and drills it.
Brilliant skill. And a huge team lifting goal. The best goal he has ever kicked I reckon.

knew I could rely on you for a story HD.
However...where are all the rest of the favourite stories about Harves?
Maybe I'm wrong - he's not as popular as I thought?
Let's hear those stories people.....
PS If you can't remember something, make it up...he's probably done it at some time in his career...
...takes the short kick-in from Frawley, runs down the half back flank, blind turns around ablett, kicks to Andrew Thompson in the centre. Harvey keeps running, collects the handball and lopes into the forward line. Picks out Lockett for the shortpass but he's manned up by three defenders. Sells the dummy to a cat defender, moves to the 50 metre line and kicks over Lockett's head. The ball bounces in the goal square and bounces through. A great goal by the legend, Robert Harvey.

No specific event ... everything he did in that Adelaide final last year was truly inspirational ... he signed the menu at the 1997 Brownlow Medal Dinner for me about 5 minutes before he was announced the winner ... top bloke
They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

I'll guess Riewoldt, in 2004 (arguably at his prime)Sainterone wrote:OK - looking for some positives out of tonights game...
BJ had 15 marks tonight. His best ever effort.
Who was the last Saint to take 15 or more marks in a game and when?

Cheers
In Nick Dal Santo's second game, he had a chance to win it after the siren.

Thanks battye.
Seems like there are a few negative posts around which are to be expected after a disappointing loss.
Here's a "negative" Q for you...
Which current Saint has played the most games (for the Saints) and not scored? (at AFL level)
Hint: Max scored a point in his 18th game - not Max.
