Boyd trained with the main group. Short for a ruckman (visibly shorter than Marshall), and Heavy - not sure there is anyone built like him playing AFL

Similar body shape to Ben Rutten. Can see why he dominated SANFL at that weight, but how would he go against players like Gawn, English and Witts who are as heavy and 4 inches taller. Has a huge arse and legs!

Peckett trained with the draftees - they didn’t do much.

Hayes was a fwd/undersized 2nd ruck

Boyd is a pure ruckman

Lugging around those legs and backside wouldn’t be easy. Lot of lactic acid would build up!

Although few would tell JN he had a fat arse. John Elliott used the phrase pigs arse, but I don't think he was looking at John Nicholls at the time.
