But bagging Tassie footy - yep - you know your stuff

Would you like me to list Tasmanian Hall of Famers

See how it stacks up yeah…

Peter Hudson yeah… if not for the knee might have kicked 1500 but alas only 727 at 5.46 per game
Royce Hart - CHF in the AFL team of the century
4 premierships
Ian Stewart - a triple Brownlow medalist
Darryl Baldock - Gary Ablett Snr before Gary Ablett
Brent Crosswell - 4 x Premiership star
John Greening - star who we disgustingly ended the career of
Matthew Richardson - 800 goals
Alistair Lynch - 3 premierships a B&F and 6 times club leading goal kicker
Rodney Eade - 3 Premierships 269 games
Darren Pritchard - 4 premierships
Bob Johnson - 6 premierships Melbourne TOC
Ivor Warne Smith - 2 x Brownlow medallist
Laurie Nash - superstar in the 30s - 40s

Most if not all of the are in their AFL club team of the century

You know the big difference BM, between Bolton and The Doc and all those other famous Tassie names you mentioned? Doc and co played VFL or AFL whereas Bolton played a level below them. So that makes Bolton an inferior player to the players he is coaching.

No point pumping up TFL. Sure its produced some great players. Why wouldn’t it? Aussie Rules is a big sport on the island where the population is barely over half a million. The greater Geelong area which has roughly half the population of tassie has also produced some incredible players. They have to come from somewhere. TFL is not a strong state league and has never considered to be one. Would rank a clear 4th from the footy states over the years. SANFL, WAFL and VFA all stronger.

Trying to pump up Bolton’s tyres because he was a good state league ( local league to me) player is not something AFL players would be impressed with

Thankyou, Moods. I couldn't have put it better myself. Any corkhead should be able to comprehend this.

Are they impressed with Chris Fagan?

He played 260 games in the same ‘local league’

As a coach definitely. But YOU were lauding Bolton the player saying he was a great footballer. The one thing that was/is unique about Fagan is that he has coached a flag but hasn’t played at the level. No one acknowledges that Fagan was a great, even good, footballer

Would have kicked 1000.
