Crouch - draft nominee????

I noticed in the list the other day of all players who had nominated for the draft. Brad Crouch (St Kilda) was listed.
What does that actually mean?
Have the Saints actually delisted Crouch now, and are committed to picking him up as a Rookie?
I thought he still had a contract for 2025 & there was talk (on here) of him being relegated as a rookie?
I’m confused as to why he has to nominate for the draft if he still has a contract in 2025 ??

He is delisted and Stkilda promised to pick him up in the rookie draft. So another team could take him if they really wanted to

Yeah. It happens from time to time.
His contract will be honoured. He will get all his money he is owed.
The position on the list will be different, that’s it.
Plus, if a club wants to risk picking up a player that essentially won’t play, for a high pay packet, they are welcome to do it.

He will become a rookie "A"
He will be placed on the long term injured list meaning St Kilda will be able to make a selection in the 2025 mid season rookie draft
That leaves 7 vacancies to be filled during the main draft, preseason draft, rookie draft and rookie supplemental selections.
There is no talk of a preseason draft selection.
Maybe one vacancy left for a train-on rookie supplemental.
Leaves 6 selections across the main and rookie drafts.
