BM to come of age and begin quoting in 2025.

I don’t feel the need to quote

And I hate it when other people do, especially multiple quotes - makes threads unreadable

I think I can follow a thread and work out what’s being said to who

You know quotes aren't just for you right?

They give whoever you have replied to a nice little notification so they know when someone is talking to them.

And if someone is coming to a thread fresh they can see the progress of a conversation, not just some disconnected comment half a dozen posts later. To everyone else it makes you look like you are talking to yourself.

Are people too stupid to follow a conversation?

I don’t think so, I give credit to people that they can read and follow a thread

You are also too stubborn to change because you have been called out on it so many times and that would acknowledge what you do is poor etiquette.

It does make you distinct on the forum though, so it is good branding. Just maybe not the kind of brand most people would want.

Do you think that matters

To me or others

A brand on an anonymous footy forum - why would anyone GAF about that?!

I just don’t do things that I think are stupid or unnecessary… that simple

Eg, can you work out who I’m replying to now without quoting?

If it’s a general reply - no need to quote
If it’s an obvious reply - no need to quote

If I want to direct a question or comment at someone
I’ll use their name.

You know I don't mean brand like McDonald's right?

I mean personal brand like Robert Harvey might be recognised for his endurance or Nick Riewoldt for his will to win.

What I am saying is you stand out on the forum. When new people come on to the forum, you might be one of the first members they recognise, because your comments always seem to be talking to someone but it isn't always clear who (especially if they don't go back and read the whole thread), so it kind of comes across as talking to yourself. Forum regulars eventually learn that you are just too stubborn to use the reply button.

Like Wilson did when he was struggling to get a kick for a month. A rest, like it did for flip would have done him the world of good

Phillipou was not rested

He played for Sandringham under tutorship - so working on aspects of his game

Wilson has the assets of his running and endurance - which were required in the AFL side

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

But BM he excelled without it.
Have a rest mate you’ll come back bigger and better than ever …. According to your theory 😊

Not too sure about those ratings

Howard and Cordy have the same rating but, when available Howard is an automatic selection over Cordy, Cordy only getting a game if Howard is not available so back up

As but one example

Dougal's athleticism and courage with Cordy's football smarts. Pretty good combo? but the club can't afford the technology needed
and AFL wouldn't know how to account for the arrangement list management-wise.
