RIP John Beveridge
Reports on FB and BF that the great John Beveridge known to many as the great recruiting guru has passed away overnight.
Found this little write up by a poster called Mr. Platinum on the Saints board at BF… I thought it was nice:
“One of the greatest St Kilda people passed away overnight, a true gentleman, mentor to many, father, motivator and fabulous recruiter, who was for many years a one man band at under resourced St Kilda. He knocked back so many offers from other clubs over the time”.
Always sad to hear about one of the greats and deepest condolences to the family

Re: RIP John Beveridge
I believe it was Parkinson's that caused his death. A humble, gentle man who was a pleasure to know. His only fault, as far as I could tell was that he played at Collingwood in the U/19s and reserves.

Yes. Drake recruited Baldock, Stewart, Bonney and Lawrence for starters. He and my father were mates. Ian actually stayed with us on his many trips to the apple island.
