So many words to basically say you haven't read any of the thread. They weren't doing a two man (plus a blow up doll) play on the complexities of consent. The AFL aren't sanctioning them for boring the audience. Employer sanctioning employees for inappropriate conduct at a work event. Should be a pretty straightforward issue.

More telling behaviour at the end though, that you have more compassion for a rich convicted rapist (as you acknowledge, interesting how the rich ones always get away on technicalities) than a worker who may have been a victim of sexual assault seeing it reenacted on stage for a laugh. Hard to empathize with people who might have gone through things you don't like to think about I guess.

Is that your way of saying an innocent man was released.

Nuance, St D.
Considering a third party dobber despicable in no way expresses sympathy for Haynes. (Conviction quashed, charges dropped, nevertheless a low life).
In the same vein it does not condone oafish behaviour from the GWS not so funsters.
People are entitled to opinions without being verballed and non sequester conflation.

You are making things up and distorting fact to substantiate your point.

All we know that a GWS player dressed up as Haynes and had a blow up doll with him. What he specifically did with the doll hasn't been reported, so you wouldn't know.

Haynes is not a convicted rapist.

The telling behaviour by you, is your insistence on alluding that Haynes is a rapist and that rich ones get away on technicalities. You should never be allowed anywhere near Jury duty.

Maybe its the poor ones that get wrongfully convicted? And I say that about any criminal process.

Whether the worker was a victim of sexual assault or not is irrelevant, still had no business watching the security footage or contacting their employer.

More likely that the worker was a narcissist asshole who wants to control anyone and anything that might offend them. These assholes are a cancer in any workplace.

Sorry if I went a bit too hard, that was just a lot of words saying Hayne 'possibly' didn't commit a crime (not even the point of the thread) and talking down on a service worker for wanting a safe and respectful workplace. Not seeing a lot of empathy for service workers from the people trying to defend/minimise the players actions. Every other line of excuse has failed so now we are coming to this.

I don't see why we would consider any employee a dobber though. They aren't a third party, they are employees of the venue. Even if it was a manager who wasn't on duty that day, they are likely acting on a report from a staff member who was there and was impacted. Not every manager (let alone employee) has access to the CCTV, so of course it may need to be sent up the chain to review. Not every manager would be working at a bar on a Wednesday night, so seems reasonable that someone would be reviewing the next day, unless police are involved no-one is sifting through the tape at midnight or whenever they shut.

And even IF they were some snooping menace looking out for the bad actions of celebrities do you really think they are going to the AFL? Or are they selling the footage to some tabloid junk site? They would love footage of a footballers behaving badly story.

Going to take Sainter_Dad's advice though and stop trying to play whack a mole with people upset the world is progressing.

Did a jury find Hayne innocent? Or was it high priced lawyers finding technicalities to try drag traumatised victims through the courts endlessly (which is exactly what they're paid to do) so they give up on chasing justice?

You can't do rape skits at a work event, the fact this even has to be argued shows how backwards some people are.

Skits - wgaf it’s not real

Let's assume you were there

Let's also assume that a female relative of yours or someone close to your family had experienced domestic violence or sexual assault recently.

If she was there with you and a couple of drunk idiots were doing a rape skit, would you still have laughed?

Why would you take a female to a men’s Mad Monday? Same for a woman’s break up.

Who said anything about them both being in the party gathering? They could have both been bar staff

It was merely meant as a hypothetical scenario.

Maybe the real conversation that should be had is whether the suspensions and fines are fair.

I think the suspensions are ridiculous. One game would be the absolute maximum I would have thought and definitely the fines.

The other discussion should be how useless the Player's Association has been when the AFL decides to hand down penalties for off field misdemeanors. They're toothless

Yeah maybe it should have just been financial punishment and education / off field service.

Also the AFLPA might have seen the evidence and thought they wouldn’t have much of a leg to stand on?

Trouble is there is no evidence the dobber was a rape victim or even a woman. Your assertion of rape simulation has no substance and is just a conflation.

I wonder how agreeable and progressive you'll be when they come for you.

The AFL said Fahey dressed as a former NRL player — reportedly Jarryd Hayne — and "simulated inappropriate acts on a sex doll".

Maybe you should send the pub an email for a private copy of the footage. It might be so funny your Netball club could use it at the next fundraiser night

Maybe you should send the pub an email for a private copy of the footage. It might be so funny your Netball club could use it at the next fundraiser night
It’s a sexdoll maybe that’s what the two of them enjoy. It’s progress remember.

Trouble is there is no evidence the dobber was a rape victim or even a woman. Your assertion of rape simulation has no substance and is just a conflation.

I wonder how agreeable and progressive you'll be when they come for you.
