Re: Brayden Pruess
I'm pretty sure he is spruiking that his body isn't cooked - with 26 games to his name, there is fair chance he hasn't worn it out just yet
They must be looking at him (amongst others no doubt) you would hope
We definitely need someone else
I would also be checking young guys with potential to be more than a stop gap replacement for Campbell
Have posted before but Bryan at essndon ( yes I know - who would want to deal with them) must be pretty annoyed if Goldie goes round again for them

Re: Brayden Pruess
Has not got on the park much in years.
Would be a terrible choice. No good having a back up ruckman that is ten times more likely to be injured than the main ruckman.
Preuss did a hammy last season running onto the ground at the start of the match...I kid you not.

Re: Brayden Pruess
No thanks.
If he doesn't get another footy gig then he wouldn't look out of place working at a potato farm.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Re: Brayden Pruess
Hayes has a much chance getting on the field.
No point brining in an injury insurance player that is permanently injured.

Re: Brayden Pruess
No back-up rucks please Saintas!!!
That would only (furtjher) stymie Heath and Keelers' development. They need to be playing that role at Sandy to get them ready for senior footy.
Marshall goes down, well, we weren't winning the 2025 flag anyway, so we play those blokes.
We've also got Hammer, the Sharmonator and Owens for 'break glass' scenarios. Oh yeah. And then there's some bloke named King. I've heard he's pretty tall. Also, throw in jack Hayes. I'd be keeping him. Can play ruck. Can also play key forward, key back (we need one of those). Yes he's been injured, but I agree that he's (at worst) as good a chance of getting onto the park as some of the hacks we've been linked to.
And if the absolute worst happens, then we look at the mid season draft.

Re: Brayden Pruess
People do, Preuss hasn't.
It's not getting any better.
2016–2018 8 games in 3 seasons @ North Melbourne
2019–2020 10 games in 2 seasons @ Melbourne
2021–2024 10 games in 4 seasons @ Greater Western Sydney
Can't. Get. On. The. Park.
Not even remotely comparable to Mason Wood.
Wood played 41 games between 2017-2019 at North.

If the club is letting Hayes go because he's always injured or in recovery then there is NO way they'd pick up aLife Long Saint wrote: ↑Mon 14 Oct 2024 4:19pmPeople do, Preuss hasn't.

Re: Brayden Pruess
I happen to like Preuss (can't remember exactly why) and I've always thought he'd be a terrific ruckman, given a better run.
So, if we're OK with his fitness, I'd be for him.
He's very tall.

Re: Brayden Pruess
We haven’t recruited Pruess
It was a question as to whether we should look at him
Campbell will be 33 next season. Is an outstanding VFL ruckman
But reality is, he is just that - a VFL ruckman
Not sure if Pruess has AFL capability either
Just posing a question?
He is a man mountain though - not sure if he’s any good but

Re: Brayden Pruess
The club binned the Soldo trade because of his dicky knee, they are not likely to take on another injury prone player like Pruess.

Re: Brayden Pruess
Yep said it at the time.
TC was a perfectly decent back up ruck.
Thought he played really well against the Big O when we played Brisbane. Marshall gets monstered by strong ruckman.
Why wouldn't we have given him another year??

Re: Brayden Pruess
To me
It’s not so much about Marshall - he plays we are absolutely fine
But injuries happen, and whilst Marshall has been very resilient - he eventually will miss games!
I don’t care about hit outs - I care about a good player in the ruck
We need an AFL capable ruckman in reserve

Mrs Caminiti thinks you don't appreciate all her son has to offer. Moose Heath feels slighted.B.M wrote: ↑Mon 14 Oct 2024 11:19pm To me

Were all of those missed games due to injury or because they had better players ahead of him?Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Mon 14 Oct 2024 4:19pmPeople do, Preuss hasn't.

Re: Brayden Pruess
If we get a Ruckman do not get Pruess I here we are interested in Dante Visentini he is 21 played 6 games for Port 202cm and a Sandringham Dragons boy could be a option or Ladanhams of Sydney is 204cm 25 years old and would be gettable now. both can play and are a lot better then Brayden Preuss
