LDU
LDU is very gettable and has discussed his desire to be traded out if possible. Doesn't want to be the face of the football club and be the number one.

Re: LDU
Source????
I bet Ross would have our recruiting team all over that if it’s rumour with a solid basis for this trading period.
All year in various interviews with words LDU has been rolling of his tongue - even if it’s not a discussion in relation to North - if the word midfielder is mentioned in an interview Ross brings in the letters LDU. I thought Ross was resigned to the fact that it would be after 2025 season he’d be available. Go for him Saints if he can be wedged out this season!

Re: LDU
It’s all over social media Ted, but thanks for sharing.
Why would we pay overs in draft collateral now, instead of wait for free agency?

Sorry old son don’t have FB. This was told to me by a North Melbourne employee who also is involved in our business. There’s one other who has expressed a desire to be traded if possible.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Tue 01 Oct 2024 5:47pmIt’s all over social media Ted, but thanks for sharing.

Wow, you focused on the social media comments but didn’t answer why we would trade for a 2025 FA?CURLY wrote: ↑Tue 01 Oct 2024 5:50pmSorry old son don’t have FB. Re: LDU
Are you suggesting we should try to secure his services?

But he’s a pure midfielder, why do we need him?CURLY wrote: ↑Tue 01 Oct 2024 8:52pmAbsolutely. Bloke is a guaranteed jet.
He’s not going to help us win a final.

Re: LDU
Well if he wants to leave this year, someone else will get him. I'm sure if he signs on for more than one year, next year, then free agency doesn't come into it - he'll be contracted - so no free roll of the dice there.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Tue 01 Oct 2024 9:28pmWait until end 2025 and go at him as a FA.skeptic wrote: ↑Tue 01 Oct 2024 8:46pmHow would we even get him?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Re: LDU
You deal with the cards how and when they fall
So if a player is available now, you make decision on accessibility which includes consummating the deal - or leaving the player to go elsewhere
And in defence of one much criticised contributor to this site, I am one who has always focussed on building your side from defence
And that included recruiting guys who played on a half back flank at State level but played KPP at League level playing them then on a flank at League level
Over a period of a few years 2 were BOG in Premiership sides
