Well, she assured me Arie was in.
I'm disappointed.

Re: Team vs Tigers
Paton has 3 games to prove himself.
If he's Sub this week, he only has one quarter, then against Cats- will he play?
If his contract ends this yr, I think he's gone

Re: Team vs Tigers
Contract status:
Saints website article of 28/7/2022
said Cooper and Paton signed for 2 yrs.
Both up for renewal at end of this season.
Paton's gonna get delisted.
Sure, he had a torn Pectoral early this year which stuffed his chances, but he hasn't set the grass on fire.
4 games this yr.
Rd 10 vs Hawks, subbed on.
Rd 11 full game vs Freo
Subbed on
Vs Sydney
Vs Adelaide
As a horse-racing guy would say: "prefer others"

I Don't Know.

Re: Team vs Tigers
Is this the moment where Ross Lyon has reached his limit with Bonner? He's backed him in all season even after some disappointing performances early on. Is this about making a definitive assessment, or merely looking to temporarily change the mix in the back half to stiffen it up?

Re: Team vs Tigers
I think it's fair with list management decisions where you have a player who could get culled at the end of the season to give them every opportunity to improve. Maybe we've seen enough.

Re: Team vs Tigers
He got rid of Shane Briss and Aaron Fiona pretty quickly after playing them all year so yes, possibly.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

Re: Team vs Tigers
Maybe. I’d be happy enough to keep Bonner on thie list for now but he really should be ranked in the 25-30 spot rather than top 22.
Type of player that needs to force his way in on form and play at his best to stay in. From what I’ve seen, no reason at all to play him ahead of Ari anymore

They haven't met their key performance indicators yet... whereas Hill with 13 disposals gets a pass and Higgins with 4 last week also gets a tick

Re: Team vs Tigers
Happy to see McLennan retain his spot. Hopefully, he'll stay in the team for the remainder of the season.
Poor Paddy Dow has had a season to forget. Preseason injuries ruined his chance to settle in to the team at the start of the season, and another mid season injury cursed him. Must be tough on his m mentally after struggling to get any continuity at Carlton.

We lost big time when we had both he and Webster out of the side.
Jimmy won't be around after 2025 (and possibly before) so i'd definitely keep Ben around.

I don’t understand the thinking of match committee on Dow. I think he would have relished the opportunity against Richmond.cwrcyn wrote: ↑Sat 10 Aug 2024 8:32am Happy to see McLennan retain his spot. Hopefully, he'll stay in the team for the remainder of the season.

What did they expect Dow to do when he came on as sub after halftime? Win the game for us after we were getting pantsed comprehensively.
He tried to impact the game but it’s pretty difficult against a team with a star studded midfield like Brisbane. He was equal 4th highest possession gatherer for St Kilda in the 3rd and equal 8th highest in the last
He got 10 touches in the second half. Double that and he gets a pass mark. I think Jones plus a couple of others were lucky to hold their spot
