Are we 15th?
Did Sydney not take their chances???
It was a great win, no doubt - but it doesn’t change FA
Never make judgement on 1 game

Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
I couldn't agree more but what it does show is what is capable when we add another dimension to our game like moving the ball quickly, direct and forward at all cost...chaos ball.
We also attacked the ball hard and were first to the ball more.

Remove that 50m penalty to Windy and we might've won

You are one of the negative wankers I have been talking about BM
And yes, again, I have played the man

Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
4 goals in the first 1/2, 9 goals in the second.
I don’t remember much praise at the main break.
Need to make the second half boldness the norm.
I have no doubt that’s the plan and no one wants to play stagnant, boring footy but obviously the balance between attacking flare and defensive structure is a work in progress.
We’ve seen a few great offensive games… hopefully we continue to improve in this regard. Seems to me that it’s gradually coming together

The Horse was absolutely fuming in his box today. Utterly outclassed by Lyon.

Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
Having a player like Henry playing the.way he did helps with quick ball movement doesn't it, our two best wins so far have included a blistering performance by Henry, and gee he spoke well after the game. If he can bring that performance consistently then he'll be a player.skeptic wrote: ↑Sun 07 Jul 2024 7:44pm 4 goals in the first 1/2, 9 goals in the second.

And I love it
As someone that was critical of Byrnes a bit… I deserve to have my nose rubbed in it a bit and am happy to cop it

Firey
Don’t stoop to that weak crap behind a keyboard
Today was nice to get the points
Season as a whole has been poor, perhaps we can still get a bit out of it?
Do you deny that it’s been a very disappointing season?
And don’t come back at me with a cheap insult

Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
I will try hard BM but you’ve been so negative even when we show some promise you somehow turn it around
Of course the season could’ve been better. Do you want to acknowledge that we have been close in so many games and we have potential? You just won’t. This is why I’m not happy with your input
And yes, we can get a lot out of what we have seen lately. We are moving in the right direction under a good coach , now turn that around and give some us more of your negativity.
Could I at least give you an expensive insult?

Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
He already is a player. He needs to back himself in. I think we won because of him.Vortex wrote: ↑Sun 07 Jul 2024 7:54pmHaving a player like Henry playing the.way he did helps with quick ball movement doesn't it, our two best wins so far have included a blistering performance by Henry, and gee he spoke well after the game. Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
This sounds derogatory but it’s not meant to be. I call him ‘the cream’ because he finishes us off. He’s that touch of class we’ve been missing. Almost all our chains in the 3rd quarter involved him, generally spotting someone up and creating/making things happen. He’s vital though. Without the likes of him we bore in and try our guts out but have no one to finish things off.Vortex wrote: ↑Sun 07 Jul 2024 7:54pmHaving a player like Henry playing the.way he did helps with quick ball movement doesn't it, our two best wins so far have included a blistering performance by Henry, and gee he spoke well after the game. I reckon his 2nd half was just about enough to get him BOG
Re: What a Brilliant Game Plan
BOTH of Henry and Wood were injured during the win v Collingwood both then missing a sizeable chunk of the season
And we had Howard back today, assisting our structure
Mind you
Marshall can not play forward
Byrnes can not play
King, Howard, Phillipou et al should all be traded out because they are duds
Lyon and the Board need to be removed
You read it here first
Whilst the season has been disappointing to date the addition of some recruits starting with Henry, Wilson and Schoenmaker augers well
If we can add another 3 heading into 2025 that will make us more competitive in what is a pretty even competition
Plus we may get a better draw whilst some of the pretenders such as Essendon, Carlton, Hawthorn, Geelong, Western Bulldogs and Collingwood face reality
Next up is Adelaide in Adelaide where their weapon is their attack

About time.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?
