King knee injury

Post: # 2068378Post kosifantutti »

While King is certain to miss a number of games, the full extent of the posterior ligament injury, and whether it could be season-ending, is unclear

Put him in cotton wool for the rest of the season

Big pre season
Stronger, fitter, goal kicking routine practice

Play him higher!

He hurt it when the ball was kicked to him by nwm, when it hit his toes and he tried to mark
Came up very gingerly and was propounded from then on
He never went into the ruck that I saw

Also Cammaniti is out for a few weeks with ankle he could have slotted back in to the forward line.
I would say play Keeler he was a forward but is now a KPD.Dougal is back next week and we don't really have many big forwards and I am not counting Sharman as big at 193cm he is a good size but with Hayes still injured we don't have a lot of forwards as Membery didn't do much for sandy either.

His form and body language prior to injury has been very very ordinary

Use the time To really reflect on what he has to do to be an AFL player

Agree totally I have been saying for a while play King at CHF he will not get monstered then and he is mobile enough to play there.

Good post, however I disagree with the second paragraph, I’d replace it with fulfill his potential.

Just goes to highlight "key board warriors" including by confirming that their opinions are nothing more nor nothing less than abject rubbish.

They know nothing.

In fact, for their mental health well being and the safety and integrity of those they actually come into physical contact with they should find another meaning to their lives other than their consumption with football.

It was obvious last weekend that King was struggling physically including going to ground in the contest and, as I contributed to this site in his defence, he appeared to be carrying an injury (either shoulder or knee given his history).

And just to add, at this stage in a season, many players are playing thru injury in an attempt to still contribute.

With the chances of qualifying for finals now remote it is time to focus on 2025 with King.

Wow
Just confirms another wasted top ten draft pick .
Hopefully he comes back next year and becomes a solid contributor but with his injury prone body he's never going to become the champion forward we all hoped he would.

Bulldust. Once you've put your hand up to play you work through your pain and you earn your keep. You don't play from behind and you don't get out marked by guys much shorter than you.

Most of King's problems are in his head

You being a mental health expert...I would have thought you'd have picked that up

Geeez… Saints FB page full of people thinking the club is faking this so they don’t have to drop him. Geeez I hate our fan base sometimes. At least we don’t get that type of nonsense here (just every other kind ;) )

I wonder if he’s had issues broader than what has been publicised. Might explain his lack of movement

The complete lack of compassion for the guy shown by Scollop, 6oclock, DB & chook23 is a revelation, but not completely surprising I suppose. Poor form.

He was injured at the start of the third quarter, so it doesn’t explain away his first half

Of course we want his mental health to be ok I have not seen any abusive posts about his form and future, just concerns and questions

A shocking kick by NWM. He should have hit him on the chest.

Where is the supposed lack of compassion from me, or is there another DB?

What a load of horse s***. If he has a PCL tear then it would be near impossible to try and hold front position in a marking contest, don't care how mentally tough you are, mechanically it would be impossible
