😭😭😭😭😭
In fairness… I thought they were bad in the last 1/4 and a half. A number of 50s that should have been paid for late contact and I saw a number of holds off the contest that weren’t paid.

Wouldn’t bother me normally but Port got all the 50/50s when it mattered.

... and willed to victory by the media hacks, nevertheless, there were a few too many of fumbles and falling over by some of our crew. Max is a big worry.

We had our chances … king must be dropped, keep Sharman in

I’d rather not see Campbell again for awhile.

Apart from a poorly umpired game both ways we aren’t far from being a finals side

Good effort Saints

Just watched the most insipid games of football by an individual of the modern era.

Max King.

Any danger of some commitment to a contest.

Or keeping your feet.

Or not giving away selfish free kicks.

Or running to defend or attack.

I'd hope he never plays a game for us again. Wouldn't take him at my local football club.

Heartless, gutless and weak.

Port have some terrific players but they play a dreadful, arty farty sort of game involving lots of possession and running around in circles. It's never going to work for them. They were extremely lucky to win today, and arguably we weren't trying all that hard: it seems to me like we are in another "year of exploration."

So Hinkley should be moved on: and will be by the end of the season, I reckon. The style of play he seems to favour is outmoded: moving the ball forward quickly is what the game is all about today.

As for us, another frustrating, low-scoring game. The forward line is a disaster zone. Marshall papered over the cracks today Without him, we might have ended up scoring 5 goals or less.

You’re easy to please eh?
We kicked 2 goals after halftime, even after wrestling back a little bit of midfield pride

Terrible game to watch, didn’t see many signs of the future or that we’re headed in the right direction personally.

If that’s not far off finals worthy it would be a truly awful final series to behold

We wrestled back midfield pride when Marsha went back into the ruck

I think the strategy to bring in Campbell was one of the reasons we had Marshall kicking 3 goals.

I don't mind TC. Against the right sort of lumbering big bloke in an opposition side, I think he still earns a recall if required... although the fact that he's getting on in age, maybe Moose gets a chance for a debut game

Nothing good about rhat game.

Port's long-tern dominance over us needed to come to an end. St Kilda needed to win for the supporters. They botched it

Some disgraceful perfomances -- a show of disrespect for the jumper and the long-suffering fans.

See this is what I don’t fully understand. We just missed out winning a game a few miss kicks some terrible umpiring but it gets put down to disrespect for the jumper. Wow I guess silly things are said in the heat of the moment
So if Higgins had a kicked one of those easy goals, all respect for the jumper would have been restored?

Ignore the hysterical ones Firey
Let’s look at the positives here:
1. Marshall forward worked - he’s dangerous but needs a ruck partner who can stand up …
2. Defence - overall clearly one of the best in the league
3. Wilkie - back to composes best form
4. Sincs/Nas …..is there a better HB duo in the game? You stop 1 ….you won’t stop both ..
5. Umpires- if that game doesn’t bring them into question and out Preston AFL to fix this mess …nothing will
6. Port keep Ken for a little longer believing they are in the hunt ….

We dominated last qtr - butchered entry in to 50 but we know that
Midfield attrocious ….but we know that

I'm referring specifially to those players who didn't put in and cost us the game.

I know it is only his second game, and he has plenty of work to do , but the early signs are very good for Arie Schoenmaker . He has a beautiful left foot as we can all see, but also seems to use it more judiciously than , say , Riley Bonner.

I also continue to be impressed by Mason Wood’s renaissance as a Saint, after a very patchy career at North. He has a great tank , well- suited for the wing, but also is a strong mark and thus a threat up forward .

Dow 7 disposals
Wilson 7
Owens 9
Windhager 10
Clark 14

Not good enough

For all his knockers even King had it 10 times

How many times did Dow go in for a center bounce?

What the hell is happening here given his contested/clearance work is supposed to be a strength?
