Re: Let's Talk About the Elephant In the Room
I wonder what quarter the spud will go off injured, i hope that's fantasy but with this dude, who knows. Not one of our best KPF's so far.
He'll get the shock off his life, hopefully, when his rip off management are told what the Saints are willing to offer for his next contract.
I just hope it's not multiple years for a player who is bordering on spud level.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Max looks completely lost. He’s gotta have a stint at Sandy after today’s incredibly poor performance.

You either find a way to get to the top of the draft or stay in mediocrity while Tas come inbigcarl wrote: ↑Fri 07 Jun 2024 1:23pmWell it would be tough for him to suppress a competitive instinct that, to all appearances, runs pretty deep.Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 07 Jun 2024 9:48amLet me roll over and ask him…bigcarl wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jun 2024 4:00pmWe'll see. One question though. Do you really think Ross will slam on the handbrake in the unlikely event that we do get a run on? Not sure that is in his nature.Teflon wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jun 2024 3:15pm I sadly think the latter which is why I’m all in on a top 5 draft pick this year and possible trades to bolster that so we can fix this midfield issue once and for all
Failure for us this year is a run on wins….honourable 9/10th finish and out of the elite kids in the draft
MUST take our medicine this year
Land LDU next
Rise.
But you seem to know him better than most
I hope so
For instance, I can’t see him wanting to be outcoached this weekend by triple-premiership upstart Hardwick.
I do fully agree that we need more talent, but can’t quite come around to the idea of bottoming out as the only way forward.
To me, we run the risk of becoming a basket-case club like Norf of the past few years. You lose fans and what free agent in his right mind wants to join a rabble? It’s a long way back from where Norf is. Plus the coach seldom survives the journey. Well, GT did … but that was a rarity.
Anyhow, we do agree that Ross is the right man to set us on the journey, one way or another. Cheers
It’s that simple
We don’t have time and FA agent ain’t saving us
That may mean we make tough choices

Re: Let's Talk About the Elephant In the Room
Our general lack of experienced talent and star power - rather than any sort of plan to finish bottom four - will get us a high draft pick. I don’t think it’s in Ross’s nature to tank. He’s too competitive for that.Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 30 Jun 2024 7:14pmYou either find a way to get to the top of the draft or stay in mediocrity while Tas come inbigcarl wrote: ↑Fri 07 Jun 2024 1:23pmWell it would be tough for him to suppress a competitive instinct that, to all appearances, runs pretty deep.Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 07 Jun 2024 9:48amLet me roll over and ask him…bigcarl wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jun 2024 4:00pmWe'll see. Re: Let's Talk About the Elephant In the Room
The baby elephant is the lack of discipline and composure our mids and forwards display in tight games. Some moves like kicking to Allir down the line is simply bonkers but we kept at it. There are other examples of course but it reflects badly on the coaching and players IQ.

In one play he showed the porcelain giraffe how to attack the ball and goal.
Drop King and see if Sharman has what it takes for the remaining rounds....nothing to lose.

Re: Let's Talk About the Elephant In the Room
Good on ya Vorto
That's the spirit...but...one problem
It's not going to happen because they're invested heavily in King. Cooper will be dropped if he has one game with little impact, where as Max will continue to be backed in
