Re: Match Thread Brisbane V St Kilda
he looks better as a defender, means we have to go back to the chook raffle to find another Key Forward.
I don't like our chances.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

If we can bag a couple of good picks in the draft and if Van Es and Keeler stay fit...you never know... forward and back we might be right
I think fixing the midfield mix is the biggest challenge. An LDU type would help

Butler called for it - in earshot of the Umpire

And The_Dud always pretends that they always get it right.amusingname wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jun 2024 11:54pm My issue with the constant posting about umpires is that there is no recognition that they might make a mistake as humans. It is always ‘blatant cheating’. I don’t agree with every decision made, but I recognize that we also get calls in our favor that may be wrong. Curly seems incapable of either admitting this or just taking a decision in stride.
I swear they are either the same person - or married.

See above - Butler clearly called for it.CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jun 2024 11:59pmMost calls I don’t mind but the frees they chose to ignore one way but pin us I hate.amusingname wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jun 2024 11:54pm My issue with the constant posting about umpires is that there is no recognition that they might make a mistake as humans. So for the umpire sympathetic posters I ask you .
Windy needed to know exactly where the mark was so it’s 50 no warning.
The free to StKilda where the umpire told the Brisbsne player to return the ball but he handballed it to Butler who the free kick wasn’t for.
Umpire didn’t award 50 why?

Again I will say it who cares who called for it.
Umpire pinned 50 against Windy as he apparently should know where the mark was. The Brisbane player knew the free wasn’t Butlers yet the umpire gave him the benefit.

I’ll happily leave this place forever if you can find one time in the last 15 years where I’ve claimed umpires always get it rightSainter_Dad wrote: ↑Sat 15 Jun 2024 11:32amAnd The_Dud always pretends that they always get it right.amusingname wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jun 2024 11:54pm My issue with the constant posting about umpires is that there is no recognition that they might make a mistake as humans. Our effort nearly beating this mob is looking better by the minute, judging by what they are doing in Adelaide today.
