Re: Schoenmaker
Hope they don't give him a defensive role against a giant. It's not within his skillset at the moment. He has a lot to learn about one on one defensive work.
Hope he does well. Pretty tough game to play as your first

He was one of the competitors in the yearly grandfinal kick off across the Yarra last year.
Special invitation.
70 meters is not uncommon for him.

Re: Schoenmaker
Good luck.
He will need it.
Hipwood and Daniher will be a handful. Webster and Howard out he will need to take one. Battle to be the floater.
Can't be used as a sub. He is not versatile enough.

I think RTB likes him from the presser thinks he’s an AFL player..
Did not miss tonight that first kick was special
Bonner a cabbage has to go just costs you
Hill is bad enough weekly
NAS and Ari and Sincs - elite HB line there

Schoenmaker played very well for a 1st gamer. Battle was very poor so was Cordy.

Re: Schoenmaker
Impressive debut - that first kick was sublime
So if stats mean anything
2nd most kicks at 15 (damn you Sinclair)
Equal 4th disposals at 18
2nd most meters gained at 454 (damn you Sinclair)
All told, I wouldnt write him off yet and I 'd hold my fire on calling him a fluke

Cordy's two handballs were really good and his one tackle spectacular.
The rest of his game, well he took up space on the ground.
Would have had better stats if the ball had stopped avoiding him.
Maybe John Setka can threaten the AFL to make the ball go to him and opponents get out of the way.

The liberals are crooks and liars.
Paul Keating once said, "the Libs have no principles. They're simply a bunch of vested interests ...in search of a policy!"
And as far as bullying is concerned just ask Christine Holgate...or better still, ask former Liberal party members of parliament like Julia Banks or Catherine Cusack what they think.
What about Robodebt? Bullying of the most vulnerable people in our society and fear and intimidation in the public service so staff who were opposed to the system and questioned its legality were unable to be heard. Lives were lost

Re: Schoenmaker
Loved the Schoenmaker game.
There's something about his game that makes me think he may end up in the traditional Centre half forward role. Think of Stewart Leowe, not as good overhead (but still good), and a penetrating kick.
They say Shoenmaker lacks a bit on the defensive side. Oh well, lets play him forward then.
Saints have been slaughtered all year by opposition half backs. Our failure at half forward is the number 1 reason we're failing this year.
Already Josh Battle has been moved from Centre half forward to Centre half back.
I've always held the view that you play your most skilled players in attacking positions, not as defenders.
