Very very happy with that effort
Ari showed plenty
Wilson v good
Owens best game for a while
Marshall huge
Kudos to Ross Lyon and all the spuds whingeing we can’t score …it’s game plan…blah blah blah can eat a large one.
And….still top 5 pick!!
7 goal final quarter ….
Nice
Clean out some duds
Seb Ross
Bonner
Cordy
Jones
Trade a few and get some elite kids in we’ll be ok
Just happy given all the circumstances.
Still think Bonner is a keeper.
Would have been very very happy if when we had them on the ropes and were coming we just could have landed the ko.
Coaching from our side was brilliant.
Need a statue of Rowan at Moorabbin. What a champ/gladiator.
Bonner doesn't have a defensive bone in his body ... would much rather now persist with Arie for the rest of the year
Well, we will see.
Riley seems fair dinkum to me. But maybe you are right.

My issue with the constant posting about umpires is that there is no recognition that they might make a mistake as humans. It is always ‘blatant cheating’. I don’t agree with every decision made, but I recognize that we also get calls in our favor that may be wrong. Curly seems incapable of either admitting this or just taking a decision in stride.
Most calls I don’t mind but the frees they chose to ignore one way but pin us I hate.
So for the umpire sympathetic posters I ask you .
Windy needed to know exactly where the mark was so it’s 50 no warning.
The free to StKilda where the umpire told the Brisbsne player to return the ball but he handballed it to Butler who the free kick wasn’t for.
Umpire didn’t award 50 why?
This I agree with but seriously curly most of the time you need to get help

The windy one was a tough call and probably should have been a warning, the other one Butler was calling for the ball so the ump made a judgement that the lions player wasn’t aware of who had the free.
Those are decisions made by humans, so can be inconsistent in some way. It’s not “blatant cheating” as you claim.

So he gave Brisbane a goal because he believed Windy should have known where the mark was. He then decided the Brisbane player couldn’t have known who a clear free was for.

Odd
Why don't you do a spreadsheet and rate each and every free kick. ALL OF THE FREES.
You could also rate ALL OF THE DUBIOUS NON FREES.
That's the only way you can come out and claim the bs that you do every fkn week
Butler gets reported for tripping on the field ... Brions player does not get reported for tripping ... incidents were both similar with free kicks paid .... any explanation on this?
Not possible without a Quantum computer.
Too many variables. 4 umpires, three parts of a ground. Constant asymmetric play. Etc.
But just common sense and observation lets a reasonable person deduce the standard of umpiring is poor because at least 10% of decisions in any game are wrong or blatantly inconsistent or reasonably contestable. In any sporting contest that's a material problem.98% correct or equity should be minimum acceptable.

We lost the game in the first quarter
Chasing tail after that
RTB was said as much in his presser about the 1st quarter
We let them get goal side of us around our half foward- center line and they kicked it over the top .... they ran onto it and we got exposed
Happened several times
Ross was in good form at the presser
When they asked him about the high score from his players he said he'd get some candles and a get a cake and go yippeeee
He did slso mention that we didn't have a low score on purpose last week...he mentioned that they were frustrated with missed opportunities BUT ALSO...
He said he did it for us. No crap!! He mentioned "Saints fans" ... I reckon there's a bit in that...
Not that I believe they did it for the supporters ... because of course supporters like an attacking game. I reckon his players would have enjoyed playing that way too

We had more inside 50s last week than we did this week ... so go figure
Who ever was complaining about last week, doesn't understand footy. Our method of entry and our efficiency was the issue, not the fact that we didn't get entries inside 50.

Iam finding it really hard watching AFL atm ,the way it is umpired the rules and the way they change from week to week.IMO there are too many umpires, and too many differing calls
More than ever now, umpires are influencing match outcomes and that's a sad indictment of what this game and competition has become.
Yep
It’s gotten to a point it’s blatant
To call that 50 when it’s often not paid in a game so close at that exact time shows either complete lack of feel for the contest OR corruption
Utterly disgraceful
How many bad centre backs bounces too?? A few they should’ve but didn’t bring back too
