Chose to cheat

Blatant cheating
What are the stats for and against?

Let’s just say umpires have stepped in when required

Gets to 19 points

Free and goal against Marshall ( not there)
50 and goal against Jones not there

Gets to 7

Umpire cheats gifts them a goal
We were 35-40 points down at one stage

Was that because of the umpiring?

Just happy given all the circumstances.
Still think Bonner is a keeper.
Would have been very very happy if when we had them on the ropes and were coming we just could have landed the ko.
Coaching from our side was brilliant.

Wasn’t in the contest and just stood 5m over the mark, bit different if he was in the marking contest.
So umpire will only give a warning to a player who was contesting and not players coming in after?

Is that actually in the rule book?
I would say the rule book says nobody gets a warning.

But if you’re chasing a leading player and can’t stop in time, common sense is used.

So yelling at a player running away with ball don’t kick it don’t kick it is cheating then.

Worst game I’ve seen him play
Lachie Neale only got 15 touches to 3 quarter time. He was gifted a couple of frees that were questionable

Both Steele and Neale had a hard tag following them around.

More of this, please.
However, we lost, less of this please.
Well, if we played that attacking, proactive style from the start of the game ... instead of the negative, reactive rubbish, we would have won this game.

Never happy after a loss but we can see what they're capable of when they get that attacking game going - I can now at least see the light at the end of the tunnel. As has been said, need to keep turning the list over.... Ross, Membrey, Cordy, Sharman and a couple of others might be on borrowed time. Ross and Membrey have been great servants but it's almost time....

Crap 50 against Windy but if Wood hadn't had his kick smothered the 50 would have been a non issue

The ball doesn't get smothered we were out and into our 50

Too many s*** simple errors that could have been avoided tonight .... too many goals from turnovers killed us

Although I think the mids need to adjust to a ruckman who can actually tap the ball to their advantage.

Henry needs more time in the middle, as does Clark and Dow

King, Higgins and Owen’s combined well up forward and once we sped up the ball movement it allowed King to get some separation.

Camanetti actually looked ok down back

Butler (suspension) and Ross should make way for Crouch and Garcia
Butler will get a fine.

Crouch’s knee is f***ed. Doubt he’ll play for a while.
I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get 2wks.

Pou might get a reprieve if he backs up his last few weeks in the VFL tomorrow and if he does he needs to be played through the middle.

Firey

I’ve said it adnauseam

Hold the half forwards a bit, there are times when they need to go high - ball in d50

But at stoppage between the arcs

Hold 6 forwards don’t leave spares behind the ball

Zorko took the piss in the first half

My issue with the constant posting about umpires is that there is no recognition that they might make a mistake as humans. It is always ‘blatant cheating’. I don’t agree with every decision made, but I recognize that we also get calls in our favor that may be wrong. Curly seems incapable of either admitting this or just taking a decision in stride.

Most calls I don’t mind but the frees they chose to ignore one way but pin us I hate.

So for the umpire sympathetic posters I ask you .

Windy needed to know exactly where the mark was so it’s 50 no warning.

The free to StKilda where the umpire told the Brisbsne player to return the ball but he handballed it to Butler who the free kick wasn’t for.
Umpire didn’t award 50 why?

I get that. But as I have mentioned they are a seasoned side with some bloody good tall marking players. We aren’t seasoned we have a lot of kids and we are improving. This is the thing I reckon you can’t comprehend.
