In - Sharman, Crouch, Schoonerskuller, Garcia

If King doesn't get up then Sharman in for King ... Hammer stays

Definitely Ross and Bonner out. Completely useless the last few games.

In: Heath

Don't care what it takes or whose spot he needs to take. His game yesterday was about the best VFL performance i've seen from a player yet to debut.

Definitely Crouch in and Ross out.

Sharman in, if King can’t play.

Can’t say I’d be disappointed if Bonner gets dropped. Would be good to see Schoenmaker debut.

It would be great to reward Heath if he was that good. If Max King is injured, perhaps Marshall & Heath can rotate between Ruck & Forward, not likely to be much worse that Max's recent form. It would be fantastic if we could find a 2nd ruck who can play forward. Keeler may be another option.

Unfortunately Boner is a bit of a butcher, and a bit loose in the backline. I'd be happy for Schoemaker to get his turn, his long penetrating kicks almost certainly more effective than Bone.

Obviously we need to strengthen our midfield, and Couch does that, probably at Seb Ross's expense.

Butler or Garcia? Whoever shows the best form in the magoo's ..

Drop Bonner. Put Sinclair at half back. Been saying it for weeks. When he is at halfback we create more attack.

Hopefully stocker is back.

Bring in Heath for Membrey. Let Rowan rest. Heath is ready. Last 3 matches in the 2s he’s been phenomenal.

Keep Windy in middle tagging our Rowell in the middle or Flanders at half forward. Maybe Garcia for on Flanders?

Schoonerdeleter is very close. He’s playing good footy.

Need to drop Ross and Bonner. Absolute plodders. Crouch in for Ross.

INS - Crouch, Heath, Stocker/Schoonerdeleter

OUT - Ross, Membrey, Bonner.

Looking forward to seeing Schoenmaker at the top level. He has a boot like a rocket launcher

WCE only kicked 10 goals, so the defence is reasonably sound, and no change there needed. Need to get more of the ball in the midfield, and need better marking options in the forward half as the WCE backs just got a few too many intercepts marks, or won marking duels. Owens and Caminiti should be marking options, but seem to have trouble judging the flight of the ball coming in, but they're young guys still learning, and Membrey didn't have much impact, so that's three marking forwards who we need more from- hard to kick goals if your forwards don't win the contest.

I can't follow Lyon's selection strategies, so all I could say is, a couple out and a couple in.

Ross & Bonner out for Crouch & Schoenmakers.

Wouldn't mind Heath coming in if King isn't right. Marshall & Heath rotate forward.

Out: Bonner ( just hand over the photos of RL you have and move on ),

In: Crouch

Ross the sub

If King out then I'd go smaller with a Garcia or Phillipou type rather than replaying the Sharman movie we have seen before.
Membrey , Cama and Owens as mobile bigger forwards - make it a harder match up for Collins

Bonner is one of those players that if it clicks for him, he could be a solid cog in our side.

He is being tested and will either be delisted or extended next year based on his performances.

Set him up for success but don't be afraid to chop him if he's no good.

Generally after a win our only changes are forced.

Will depend if King is out.

Out: King
In: Heath or Sharman.

Schoenmaker is still away off. He does some things nicely and can kick the ball into next week but he is not great in a contest yet. Good news is he is improving and should debut later in the year

I think Bonner does not contest if anything seems to turn and run the other way and his lethal delivery might look good at training but lacks on match day.

Bonner looked to be running in treacle a few times chasing

Reminded me of Brandon White who couldn't outrun a turtle

He's a dud, massive sample size across two clubs. Slow, terrible field kick (with no opposite foot), poor decision maker & selfish team mate. He shouldn't be getting games and wouldn't be at any other club (excluding maybe North). Clearly one of Ross' favs.

Once again, fans are focussing on a couple of errors from Bonner and forgetting everything else that he does well in each game

Not sure what plans Batchelor and Lenny have for Schoenmaker for this year...but Bonner won't be dropped until the time comes when Arie is ready to come into the side.

I'd like to see Heath replace King, I'll be really disappointed if Sharman gets selected.

Do you ever watch the replays sober?

I encourage you to watch the second half and specifically some of Bonners work....sober.

Sublime skills, courageous and sets up his team mates all over the field with precision kicks.

Sublime skill? His Disposal Efficiency (77.3%) is in the bottom 25% of the league for this season despite having the highest proportion of uncontested possessions 84.8% of anyone in the league (to play over 3 games this year). He's second overall in the AFL for uncontested turnovers and 1st of turnovers resulting in direct scoring opportunities (8 - which is 3 more than the next bloke). You could almost make the argument that he's objectively the worst kick in the league this season.

This would all be forgivable if he backed it up with defence (e.g. Dawson's career kicking/disposal efficiency was poor, but his rating in regards to pressure acts, 1v1, defensive acts was superb), this is not the case with Bonner, his season averages for basically every defensive measure is well below position average and consistently the lowest of anyone in our defence (i.e. he does not defend). His Champion Data player ranking score (which is the industry's preeminent measure of a player's performance) this season is only 217.6 (340th overall) despite playing every game. Finally him being in the side has also damaged Sinclair's output and role. Sinclair is far more damaging with the ball and plays his best footy off half back (not the midfield as some media types who never watch the saints will declare). There for Bonner's impact on the team is two fold.

He is having an historically bad season, we would quite literally be 2 wins better off if we left him delisted. But sure he executed a few nice field kicks in the second half so should keep his spot...

Max King has lost us more games.
