Clarke has always been a ball getter.. sometimes he’s disposal let him down taking all that into account he is a plus. Always has been a plus despite the thoughts of some on here.

Limited game time but influential

He is someone who has 2 sided skills, sees ball and gets ball in the contest which leads to some scrappy disposals BUT the ball is going our way

And if he does not have hands on the ball he tackles

A real bottom of the pack player - and when in space a highly skilled disposer of the ball

And absolutely courageous - he always puts his body on the line (hence the injuries which we trust are behind him)

Mind you, he has to adjust his headband

Given his limited time off a very long absence then knee concern on resuming in the VFL I would imagine that at this point in time selection for this game was between he and Crouch (who has a similar injury profile this year)

We will be much improved with both in the side when both are match fit

Addition of Crouch will be welcomed next week too re clearances given we are going to face an even better midfield.

Hunter played 19 games last year - and was one of the reasons we won some of the close ones we have lost this year. I have a feeling this win would not have been ours without Hunter. Well done! Great game and midfield presence. A calming influence and he still looks like he has an extra second.

Hunter was great this week, especially off the given gametime and first game back from injury.

On Crouch, watching the Sandy game he still clearly not moving at 100%.

Often inside players can look like that.

One passage I loved- he stuffed up a play (smothered kick), went back to where the ball was, stopped it with his foot, picked it up and delivered to a team mate.

Only a few players in our team could do that.

Pleased with his tackling endeavour. As he gets more match fitness that may drop as he gets to the ball first a bit more. Looked good for his first game back,

Clark is undoubtedly skilled, very good in close but too often sloppy in delivery - which lessens the impact of his disposals. Is it lack of speed? Strength? Vision? Maybe his frequent injuries have contributed. Lets hope he gets a good run of games to build on what was a good start.

Yes Teffers that hand on the ball at the bottom pack or congested possession has been a trade mark of his since he started with the Saints.
Amazing at times how he has the ability to have a hand on the the ball, keeping it stationary, whilst opponents are trying to push him off or tackle him & more often than not he is able to push the ball out or drag it to a position beneficial to the team. Strange how Clark can do this so often for a player who has spaghetti arms, & no strength for an AFL player eh?
Also IMO he has good core strength, usually able to stand up in a tackle & free his arms to get a handball off. May miss targets at times but that is another thing, at least he’s always thinking & trying to move the game on. Yep we have missed him. collision injuries are a thing of the past for him - he needs some luck

Yes and they are being managed well with time on the field. Even with limited time on field they really added value.

f*** me! You really are bi-polar. Funny you call my post sensible, when you attribute our win to Enright coaching the second half. Even if Lyon could be seen obviously coaching the team.
You've also had the baseball bat out against the Coach for weeks, yet you seem to agree that having those three players out was a significant factor in our poor performances.
Forget about all the other injuries, where do you reckon we'd be sitting now if we had Henry, Dow and Clark available for all our games? Still 4-8? I'd say we'd be 6-6 at worst and possibly 7-5, maybe 8-4.
No one would be complaining then and there'd be little fuel for Kane Cornes' hyperbole.
How well are Geelong going with Dangerfield out? How well are Collingwood going with a few injuries? GWS lose Kelly, Coniglio, Tom Green isn't 100% and suddenly!
There has never been cause to panic given our shitful run with injuries which has hopefully come to an end. Our midfield looks better when the players we recruited to improve it are actually available, we're only an A grader short there and our forward connection needs work, hardly insurmountable.
