Re: RTB's Presser today
The big mistake people make around "play the kids" is that just having them in the side will cause them to develop.
In reality it's got to be a part of the broader player development strategy.
You don't make CEO's by pulling someone straight out of high school based on their test scores, and putting them in charge.

Re: RTB's Presser today
If they are not up to standard yet (if there’s a more senior player who can do it better) you are not respecting selection integrity by playing them.
You can also see how it can cause division in the ranks and angst if there’s no integrity and guys haven’t really earned a spot.
Bring them in when they are proving their worth at a lower level … not just because they are young or high draft picks.
In Collard’s case, he got a gig only because of no Higgins or Butler. I thought that was worth a shot, wrongly as it turns out.
I’d like to see Schoenmaker get a shot at as a reward for some high-possession VFL games.

I believe it needs to be approved by Baccarat brains, just like every other coaching topic on here.

Crouch to play VFL again this week
Lyon says he'll be considered for the games against Gold Coast or Brisbane

True. It’s all wordy goobledegook.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Mon 27 May 2024 1:18amSincs was interviewed by Saints TV on youtube.
He looked stunned, just trotted out the same empty phrases that we've heard before.
Steele said the same thing after Doggies game.
Sincs repeated himself twice as if to reinforce in his own mind, as he has lost the plot.
The entire team is fractured, disjointed, they are not a team, they're a rabble.
They're not thinking of themselves as a cohesive group- they're a collection of individuals with nothing in common but the same colour guernseys.
And it shows.
No support, no idea of how to work together.
It's frightening.
And we'll see next week in Perth when Harley Reid gets 3 goals and 25 possies, and we get our @rses handed to us

No.
But resist being a collaborator.
You are a knowledgeable observer of footy. You understand the hurdles we need to overcome and the quality of our list, the impact of untimely injuries and suspensions, the scars of close losses.
Pile on and the simplistic uninformed sarcasm that abounds while superficially therapeutic for disappointment is hardly constructive.

Re: RTB's Presser today
Would you mind explaining what that means.
Where did they go?
I have always thought you thoughtful and balanced about weighing all contributing factors. If you think the main reason we lost badly to Doggies and Dees is because of a player strike that really is concerning.
The dynamics of a change room and a team's performance on any given day are things I'd thought quite complex. But if it can be encapsulated by he's lost the players, that's all she wrote, then this really is the winter of our discontent.
Had thought the situation more nuanced, but perhaps its not. Don't like that view of things. But understand your position.

Some posters will go to their grave trying to defend the indefensible'
To me it's akin to that story of the little dutch boy who stuck his finger in the dyke.
Get rid of the deadwood coaches now before we have a mass exodus of young talented players

I am thoughtful and balanced because I like to consider all factors, unlike some.
It’s a reasonable question. My perception is based on the players' lack of enthusiasm and a flat, disinterested look that suggests a coaching issue. Perhaps it's due to a taxing game plan and an overly defensive playing style imposed on the players that they cannot properly execute or are incapable of doing so. There may also be other underlying issues that we are unaware of, so we don't have the full picture.
Ross, also looks tired and flat, and this demeanor may be rubbing off on the players.
Maybe I should have rephrased my response as a question and not a statement.
What do you think?
