Effing disgraceful.
I thought I saw the Saints worst ever performance several weeks ago, but that game had nothing on the piss poor effort I am witnessing today, Piss poor effort which starting with piss poor selections.
How the f*** do Sharman, Caminiti and Collard get games, when far better credentialed players stagnate at Sandringham
No way that Crouch and Clark should not have been picked for this match.
Oh well good draft picks coming up.
PS. The maggots ruined what could...i say could...have been a lot closer match.
21 frees to the skiers to 10 to us

Re: Effing disgraceful.
What happened to the team fighting for top 4 last year? Even with the 2nd half of the year fadeout we still managed to finish 6th before finals.
Can't blame injuries.
Can't blame players who left/retired.

Re: Effing disgraceful.
Really? Based on several of your posts over the years I’m guessing you’re in your 70’s. And the worst game you’ve ever seen the Saints play is today vrs Dees where we lost by about 40 points?saynta wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 6:45pm I thought I saw the Saints worst ever performance several weeks ago, but that game had nothing on the piss poor effort I am witnessing today, Piss poor effort which starting with piss poor selections.

I get the frustration and agree on the selection frustration in particular. Collard no where near ready. Caminiti looks like a new born colt plonked into an AFL game and has no idea what’s going on. Sharman’s game summed him up perfectly. Great run , jump and mark of the ball. Miss from direct in front, doesn’t touch ball again.
Crouch and Clark definitely should have been playing. Membrey needed to find form and has. Straight back in surely

At the start of the season (honestly!)
Did you have us 3-8 sitting 15th on the ladder?!

Clark, Crouch, Jones, Membrey in next week.
Should also give Allison and/or Hotton a chance too.

Crouch Clark Membrey
Forward line pressure massive issue
Did Butler play? Did Garcia back up last week efforts?

I saw we won - good, because our reserves winning puts pressure on the seniors. And also because Casey are a very handy side!
Membrey kicked 6 goals
Clark 31 possessions: shock:
Butler did play and had 16 possessions - good forward pressure
Crouch 33 possessions!
Hotton 17 possessions and 5 goals
I don't know if Garcia played.
Jones 25 possessions
Paton 26 disposals
Campbell 41 Hit Outs

All the above players playing well is good, however, most of the ones that have already played seniors this year didn't exactly set us on fire.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Not sure well enough to warrant a game? Likewise Schoey …have t heard much bout his game
Good signs that some found form against decent opposition

Re: Effing disgraceful.
Never seen him play, what's the knock on Campbell?
Every week stacks of first touch, but never gets promoted.
Is now the time to select and play Marshall CHF/CHB/second ruck?
Campbell then does nothing else but follow opposition ruck around.
But then I probably value a professional leaping tapper more than Ross.

Crouch and Butler were not match fit when they played seniors. They would be huge for us if they came in now.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 10:37pmThey would have been emergencies at the MCG today.saynta wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 10:28pmNo Garcia or Hayes.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 10:25pmI didn't see the magoos as I was at the G.Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 10:06pmNo to Jones - he’s finishedsamuraisaint wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 9:07pm Clark, Crouch, Jones, Membrey in next week.

Clark hasn't played seniors this year, and we miss him badly. I mean REALLY miss him.
Membrey would improve us, even if he hasn't been great so far this season. He kicked six goals. In.
I think Hotton should get a chance - he kicked five goals! In.

Re: Effing disgraceful.
It is time for development. Proper controlled structured development.
Put a plan in place and follow it through.
Garcia and Co are the future. Therefore put them through a plan to get them to thrive when they are ready for AFL.
Gifting them games because they got 20touches in the VFL does not work when they get either put as sub or only get half dozen touches in the AFL and look completely out of their depth.

St Kilda & development are like two magnets that push away from each other.
Then throw in the ineptness in other areas.
Presto! The formula for a dud club.

Re: Effing disgraceful.
Heath, Crouch, Clark, Garcia, Shoey, Membrey and Hotton should all come in this week.
Marshall(managed), Ross, Collard, Sharman, Windhager, Bonner and Stocker omitted.
It doesn't matter whether we beat WCE this week, so play them all and get a good look at them
Ross, Jones. Paton, Cordy, Campbell and Allison's papers all should be stamped and shouldn't play again this year unless there is an injury crisis.

Josh Battle in this Junior days was an awesome forward. If Lyon wants to shuffle the whiteboard and create opportunities then try this >
Battle up forward and cordy down back. At least Battle knows how to lead !
Get rid the "gumboot" players and dont let them play again, I am sure we know who "they" are.
Cheers
