Spot on .. take the easy road. Hello vortexshrodes wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:09pmEverything old is new again. People will just latch on to any possible thing they can to explain why the team is a turd during these times, it was the same with Geary during the Richo era.The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:03pmAt least you’re not blaming the captain like someone else on hereSaintDippa wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:00pm Ross could be coaching Sydney next week and they'd get beat and only score 60.
Since the GWS match highlighted we have no game style or system, the players have no idea what they should be doing on the ground. Just run around, commit numbers to lost contests, chip it around then bomb long. We're a rabble and fish rot from the head.
Umpires, captain, head coach, assistant coaches, goalkicking practice, interstate travel, 5 day breaks, compromised draft, previous coaches, previous recruiters, current recruiters, previous administrators, current administrators, the youth, the old guard, skills, gameplan, the grand AFL conspiracy against St Kilda.
Throw a dart and take your pick as to why we suck

2 experts who know more about leadership than the whole of the St Kilda playing list and the whole of the coaching crew including Enright and LyonTeflon wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 5:49pmI agreeVortex wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 5:45pm This is going to be controversial but Steele needs to be relieved of the Captaincy, he's part of our midfield problem, he's Seb Ross 2.0.
He also just doesn't do anything to get his team going, even King shows more emotion after kicking a goal and that's saying something.
See that brew ha ha at half time, who was the first in waving the flag....Wilkie.
Higgo gets crunched by May and not one player remonstrated, that's what Steele should have done.
Steele is part of the problem....leadership nothing.and is an average midfielder.
Poor leader

Wow your faith in Lyon is so blinding you are just going for personal attacks on our players, including our captain who was actually one of our better players today (not that its saying much) before ever putting and once of blame for the teams performance on the coaches shoulder's. Steele's probably given up because he knows the coaching is backwards and we have turned good players into hacks. Just admit it we never looked this bad and this uninspiring under Ratten or Richo. How quickly this has gone from Ross's "Unfinished business" to another typical saints 5 year rebuild, which we somehow manage to need every 4 years.Vortex wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:11pmHe was Disgraceful today, a captain should never give up.
Non negotiable foe a captain.
Lyon should drop him.

Howard is the guard space and plod along champion. Wilkie is also copying his sulkiness. This spitting the chewie attitude is in epidemic proportions.

Steele is screaming out for help in the midfield .... yet we leave Crouch and Clark racking them up for Sandy.
Wouldn't be surprised if they don't go to Perth

Steele's individual efforts were among the best, but his leadership was non existent.Jaz wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:27pm

Will be a much better player if released from the shackles of captaincy.

Need to piss off Howard. Always falls over and gifts goals to opposition. He's horrible.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Nah Ross should drop Howard, Collard, Caminiti, Ross and Bonner. All terrible today.

Time to wield the axe out Howard, Ross, Caminiti, Sharman, Collard, Bonner and Webster In Membrey, Crouch, Clark, Keeler, Heath, Arie and Garcia. If Hotton or Hastie show something at Sandy Wood could make way.

I was there the night we lost by 112 to dogs under Ratten …stop trying re-write history to suit your Lyon bashing narrativeJaz wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:27pmWow your faith in Lyon is so blinding you are just going for personal attacks on our players, including our captain who was actually one of our better players today (not that its saying much) before ever putting and once of blame for the teams performance on the coaches shoulder's. Re: Match Day Demons v Saints
Dropping players isn't the answer.
The dual narrative is out the window.
If I was coach, i'd pick a team that's a good mix of old and young, pair up players with mentors, develop their games real time on the field.
Treat the AFL side like a senior development side.
Tell the media, fans, members that this is the goal for the rest of the year.

Marshall’s deficiencies (which some refuse to acknowledge) were thoroughly exposed against a top quality ruckman in Gawn.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 6:19pm Where would we have been without Marshall's 15 metres gained?

Not the reason we lost today but again umpires are absolutely screwing us over and the club are letting it go on
Did I see free kicks were 21-10???
With 3 50 meter penalties??
I saw holding the ball multiple times Dees player swung 3 times ..no whistle? WTF is that ??

It was a channel 7 game and those commentators work for channel 7.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Dropped? He and Marshall have been our best players this season by a long long way. I bet he’s on triple the Brownlow votes of our next highest poll getter at rd11.Vortex wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:11pmHe was Disgraceful today, a captain should never give up.
