IIRC when RTB first came to coach us, the saints' fanbase was expressing the same sort of sentiments seen here.
He inherited a very talented list from GT and promptly took the team to.......ninth.
He was seen as being to negative and defense based, producing a boring style that mimicked the Swine's stoppage riddled game plan. He didn't make too many friends that year, as I recall.
I too had my doubts back then. It was definitely a year of transition, in which he taught the group to play the sort of football that is capable of winning finals.
A prelim. followed in 2008, before his plan blossomed in 2009. You all know the rest.
He now faces a new set of challenges. He has inherited a middling list, but has a number of young players who are potential stars. More will be added over the next two years.
Give him some time. Patience is crucial if the club is to be successful, not just in the short term, but for decades to come, al a Geelong and the Swines.
In RTB I trust. He has an impressive record, overall. Hop on board the Ross train. I'm sure he'll eventually deliver.

We know now at a minimum- even IF Lyon isn’t our next premiership coach ….the standards he’s putting in place have us well placed
The footy dept overhaul is already light years ahead of where we were …

I just watched channel 9 news sports report and they showed footage of Saints training session
Looked look the local suburban footy club warm up. Zero intensity. Zero commitment to excellence
So you watched, what, a 15 sec video of Saints training on the news and have come up with the conclusion of zero intensity, zero commitment to excellence?

Just want to check.
Is the anti Ross narrative from you that
1. He doesn't drive standards
2. He smothers players natural instinct
3. He gifts games
4. He doesn't play enough youth
5. He isn't jesus
If it's 5 we get it, not many believe he is the messiah, just that he is correct for right now.
If (as I suspect) you think yes to all 4 of the first 4 options- look at yourself.
I make specific posts about specific issues. If you want to talk s***, that’s your business
I just posted what I saw on the news
Come and talk to me in 3 years. In the meantime f*** off
Sick puppy in the house.
Perverse thing is s/he has put himself/herself in a position where s/he now can't barrack for the Saints to win. Conflicted much?

Just did some research and confirmed Molluscs do in fact have distinct genders. Good that you covered your bases.

I think takeaway, nostalgicsaint and Yorkeys would be perfect as assistants to Lyon. The perfect Yes men
Watch the football on Sunday smartarses and then we'll chat
But what if Saints actually win? What are you then going to chat about? You'd have to reverse your dreary negative monologues and post something at least leaning towards the positive. Surely not.
