Gold Coast, Ben Long
Suns are torching Cats.
52 point lead in the 3rd qtr.
Happy for Long.
Suns are playing fast, daring, exciting footy.
Long must be loving it, being away from our disgrace of a 'club'.
Inverted commas because it's not a club, more a disjointed rabble.
Suns are gonna win a flag before we do
Ben King looks like he took all the talent of the twins, and we got the King from Wish

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
How many times have we beaten the Cats since 2010?

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
3 qtr time.
That was an 8-goal quarter.
Suns lead by 60-something.
OK, Darwin is tropical, hot, high humidity, energy-sapping, and Suns prob went to Darwin 3 days early to adapt...
But history will show a big win and it won't have an asterisk like all the games during Covid lockdown

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
Supporters like this are imo part of the problem.
Good clubs don't lynch their own at the first speedbump in a process.
Supporters who think so poorly of our club and so highly of others- piss off and 'support' them. I'd happily buy another membership to cover for your loss but I doubt they'd be losing a member.

How can an outsider affect drafting, fixturing, player fitness and conditioning, corporate sponsorship, etc?
What did Ross say about Rooey's comments re Max being unhappy?

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
Long barely played last year and looked very average
Came in last week and getting 12-14 touches so far and kicking goals in big wins.
Can’t say I’m ruing the decision just yet

FFS how many top 10 picks has this club had!

Suns have been there all week, it’s a fortress for them. Have they lost there in the last 5 years?WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 16 May 2024 10:46pm 3 qtr time.

Rubbish thread
I was one of Longy's biggest supporters when he was with us, but he's been disappointing since moving up there.
Let's see how he progresses with his career

Are they?
I said the same after round 1. Quite a few were saying otherwise…

They've never got close to playing a final and won't for some time.
We've lost a whopping one in a row. Get real.

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
When are the suns going to made to treat there academy players like all the other clubs being able to pick them until pick 40 before they can match a pick.
Its a really unfair advantage they have at the moment and even the other interstate clubs are not happy about it.
I thought the AFL was looking into it this season.

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
Funny how Geelong have some key players out and suddenly they don't look so good. Not a criticism of them, merely an observation
Gold Coast at full strength...that helps, doesn't it?
A luxury we haven't had so far this year.

Re: Gold Coast, Ben Long
So it is now revealed that Wellard Saint is a Gold Coast supporter, on this site to disrupt (along with others)
Long played a few good games for St Kilda (including Brownlow votes when we beat Richmond a couple of years ago when Carlisle got the 3 votes) but lacked consistency
He was embraced within the Club including attending arrangements for the List going to Darwin and the then Coach’s children having his number on their backs
His appearances for Gold Coast have been spasmodic to date so we will see what the future brings
Instructive was the Gold Coast midfield impacting as they did - including hitting the scoreboard
They all have leg speed
