His first 2 years… he was ok

His next 2 years were bog average

…and I think that in his last 3 years he was NO good for the St Kilda team

At pick 30 or lower I think he could have been seen as value, at pick 3 for a rebuilding club you kind of want some star power that you can build a team around and can win games off a boot. I noted Jacks recent game against Carlton was really poor in the first half but and went missing when the team was looking for someone to get them going.

I'm going to wait for a bigger sample size, he's spluttering at the moment and the biggest concern is his attitude and resilience, he can be put off his game way to easily. He refuses to lead for the ball or crash packs, he sits out the back waiting for the cheap jump at the ball like an Auskicker.

On the weekend a player won the ball 1m in front of him and ran off him and Max offered zero chase, just like his tackle count per game, zero.

23 years old, 75 games, he is entering his sweet spot and a Coleman medal should be possible now, this is why we used the 4DP.

I'm not so hysterical as to say trade him like some but if he doesn't start performing to expectation in the forward line it might be time to trial him in another position and trial someone else as the Key Forward.
