Re: Hawks into Battle and Windhager
I also got from a pretty good source that the Hawks thought we were the softest team they have played all year
Hopefully it's got back to the players & coaches

Throw in Howard and swap for Sicily and Newcombe.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

No chance.
Both key position players.
Sing it loud and sing it proud but most of all hang around for this club will rise to claim the prize and then we will realise its not such a surprise.

Re: Hawks into Battle and Windhager
Is the trick being a good medium sized defender who can swing forward if we need?

Re: Hawks into Battle and Windhager
Statistically one of the top three one-on-one defenders in the comp over the last five seasons.
It's a good trick.

Re: Hawks into Battle and Windhager
If we lost Windhager, we may as well give up. We have to keep that young core together. I'd also hate to lose Battle, he wins his spot most weeks , fit, versatile, huge asset.
But if I was a player, I reckon I'd be open to offers elsewhere, I can't blame them

Rumours, unless their sources are revealed, are nothing more than mischievous speculation to suck in the innocents, absolute nonsense, especially at this time of the year.
Why anyone would post this sort of garbage is beyond my comprehension!

Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."

Re: Hawks into Battle and Windhager
From the same sauce which informed that Jones would never play again after arguing with Lyon and that Crouch will never play again because of a knee concern
Says it all
And the same sauce which is on here 24/7 promoting its credentials
Mind you, I am contributing as evidenced recently but my activities are currently severely restricted with a back problem so looking for a distraction to pass the time until the next physio appointment
Even watching Up The Chasity Belt!!

Re: Hawks into Battle and Windhager
It was on ABC radio programme Grandstand last weekend, that Windhagers’s name came up, relating to the Hawks..
There was a discussion on players clubs would no doubt be keeping their eyes upon as possible trades. One of the commentators said Clubs would be closely watching Marcus Windhager from St Kilda & he mentioned he would be a good fit for Hawthorn or Fremantle if he was prepared to eventually relocate out of Victoria.
It was an only general discussion about various young players at the different clubs, all under contract, who opposing clubs would be watching closely. It wasn’t a discussion about ‘who was actually rumoured ‘ being sought after this year.
Other names thrown up were Sheezel (?spelling), Hewitt, some young ruckman from Port Adelaide and a young player from Sydney. Each young player they discussed they said what other club(s) they would be a good fit at. The only name I pricked my ears up at was Windhager and a good fit for Hawks & Dockers.
This is how rumours come about IMO - supporters hear the off the cuff discussions and so starts the old Chinese Whispers. However, not giving the context of the discussion, and repeat, saying they heard from a source (even the sauce bottle) that ‘X’ club would be interested in ‘Y’ player.
