Crouch took part in training on Thursday, didn't look to be favouring his knee, but i couldn't see if he was training with gritted teeth.

Well, there’s a few spots up for grabs, that’s for sure. Looking forward to your run down on how they went.

Campbell and Allison not in the team line up.
So only 14 Sainters, 9 Zebras

Dow, Clark and Collard - and maybe Arie , will all be playing for a spot in the senior side next week.

Caminiti just had a horrible attempt at a left-foot snap. And Hunter Clarke just got run down in defence which resulted in a goal to the opposition. Zac Jones just stuffed up a handball and a kick straight to the opposition. Patty Dow just missed misjudged a kick to a forward. Halfway through the first. What is going on with this club?

Not sure it was Clark (no "e": why do so many posters think there's one there). I think it might have been Mitchell Ryan who got run down.

But several Saints players are having a terrible day. And we're being torn to shreds. Clark is actually one of our better players, I reckon. O'Connell has impressed me again as well.

Dow, on the other hand, just doesn't seem to be up to it.

I was vaguely looking forward to this game, but it's a waste of time.

I feel sorry for BM who is presumably there.

The concept that either or both of Dow and Jones would improve our midfield isn't getting much support from what we've seen so far. Philippou is doing enough perhaps to get a recall to the AFL team. I think O'Connell looks very promising. That's about it so far.

I’m not watching unfortunately (or maybe fortunately :) ) so at the risk of being one of those stats watchers I dislike, what’s O’Connell done so far - all I see is 1 mark, 1 disposal no other stats from the website

I am sure that he has done more than that. As I said earlier, there are three guys playing for us with headbands who all look very similar, so the stats guys might have misattributed some of his acts to others. Alternatively, perhaps I have done so.

Don't try to watch it because we are shocking. Our defence seems to be more or less non-existent.

Caminiti kicked his first goal after a nice mark.

He has taken another mark and kicked a point from 48 mtrs out.

Scores Box Hill 10 - 4 - 64 v Sandy 3 - 10 - 28
@ 25minute mark of 2nd Qtr.

The commentator said any Saints supporter who was looking for players to come into the Saints team will be disappointed, there's no one stepping up today.

Only player I can see doing anything is Caminiti. He’s unlucky with 1.4 by half time kicking against the breeze that quarter. Phillipou full time mid and doing some nice things but nothing warranting call me up now.

Zak Jones will be delisted this year. Missing basic targets. Really bad disposal.

Paddy Dow has been quiet and so has Hunter Clark.

Keeler had some nice intercepts.
