Kick long & high into forward line to the disadvantage of our forwards or to an outnumber. Repeat 20+ times per match, a method that has transcended 3 coaches & a few playing groups. Must be something in the Moorabbin water. And if being 5 points down with 50 secs on the clock isn`t the time to pull the trigger & go straight up the guts with fast ball movement, when the fk is?? Instead, chip kicks across ground like you`ve got the game won. Right up there with the most frustrating performance ever. A shadow of the side that carved up the Pies in Spuds game.
Dunno where we go from here.

Re: Losing to Hawks
Well whatever plan A is, it's not working.
What are the common elements of performances like Saturday's and some of the more insipid showings under Brett and Alan. Commonality of players and of players in particular positions, preparations?, there must be a scientific reason for serving up such rubbish. You can't call footy your profession, train hard and practice for 6 months and serve up performances like that in public without clear causes, yet no one seems to be able to identify and address them or instittute gradual improvement, we are getting worse not better. Surely not an unfathomable mystery. Cull the ones not up to better than average standard, or are we in such dire need of so much talent the task is practically impossible with the competition restraints.
But just take fumbling. Can't you train a group of elite athletes to handle the ball cleanly when it falls to you, know not to handball to disadvantage. I'd like to hear the Saints psychologist talk frankly about this underperforming group behaviour malaise phenomenon regularly served up.
