Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
Ugly football again. Just imagine if we'd won. There'd be people posting that a win is a win. Positives...etc
The really funny thing is that no matter what the result, Teflon would be still telling us it was great coaching.
Actually... it's not funny... it's tragic.

It’s up there with the dumbest post I’ve seen in 20+ years in this site and trust me I’ve read a lot of BMs so that’s saying somethingshrodes wrote: ↑Sat 11 May 2024 5:35pmStrange call. Swung battle forward , Wood forward, Payton into middle all good moves
We have the weakest , dumbest players in the comp
THE worst midfield- nit by a little but a long way
12 years of recruiting HBF/HFF crap like Billing’s and co has set us back 10 years
So the only "rejects" this could apply to are Liam Henry and Paddy Dow. Bonner was a delisted free agent.
Curious who you're referring to.
This troll just piles on Lyon when we lose like Mehebabblots ..only posts after a loss
Never hear from them after a win …kinda weird masochist shyte

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
So many players just didn't look switched on. Flat footed, tentative, waiting for things to happen. No on field leadership. Steele is a good player but fails in that area. The problem being is that he is indecisive with ball in hand, and he's the one who should be leading the way in the style of play.
Marshall, Wilkie, Wanganeen-Milera, Sinclair, Higgins, and Hill are the only truly proactive players we have. The only ones who try to make things happen. Bonner tries in that area, too.

Absolute rubbish dished up today. Ploddingly slow, telegraphed passes, slow as a wet week defensive running, insipid tackling. The players aren’t playing with any intensity, or for each other. No shepherding. It looks like a team of individual big-heads.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
The coaching was reactive and he was out pointed easily by Mitchell
We had the better team - they played better - they won
The fact they started with 4 small forwards had our defenders panicking and all over the place!
Forward line was atrocious
Midfield average
Some players were invisible

That's the way. Blame 1 or 2 playersTeflon wrote: ↑Sat 11 May 2024 5:20pm You weak insipid **** pricks
Give sides 5 goals head start you get what you deserve
I don’t give a **** about honourable losses
That was as gutless , weak, dumb football as you’ll ever see
Gotta clean this place out
Seb, Membrey, **** passengers - gone
Draft pick time we are wasting our time and $ on this weak lot
Ignore the multiple errors from 10 other players
That's how to support the St Kilda team

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
So Ross has failed with this team Teflon?
He is going to rebuild now?!
lol
We surprised opposition for the first 5 rounds and snuck into the 8 since then have won 9 out of the last 27
Not the genius you lead us to believe
And remember, when Ratten was coach - it was all about the coach?!

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
It seems like we have no faith in the forwardline to lock it in when it gets down there so we aren't prepared to take many risks out of the backline and push up
There was close to no run through the middle today ... we played safe risk free footy and paid the price ... scared that their mosquito fleet would burn us on the rebound
Yer gameplan isn't working Ross ... time to add more run and dare
The way Port picked apart Geelong in the 1st half last night by keeping the ball constantly moving was joyful to watch

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
Sicily's 46 and Martin's 44 possessions off half back was the player's fault too ... it can't be the genius game plan.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Hawks
So it was a coaching problem under Richo and Ratten
And a players problem under Ross
Yep that makes sense

Ironic that at the end of the game, Brett Ratten is beaming and satisfied with the win in the coaches box, away from the hell hole that is Saint Kilda.

Time to vent ... we've won only 9 of our last 27 games.
That's 33.33% w/l.
