WTF!
Curtis just throws Webster over the boundary line off the ball and right in front of the umpire and no free.

King has been very poor today, probably his worse game for the club given how bad his direct opponent is.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Wardlaw shows signs of being a gun but I don’t see how he is any better of a player than windhager to date. He makes so many bad mistakes and is poor with ball in hand.

The so called Messiah is now nothing more than a Prima Donna and should be treated as such, put him back to Sandy and make home earn his spot.Brunswicksainter wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:07pm King has been very poor today, probably his worse game for the club given how bad his direct opponent is.

My final comment, Liam stoker is incredibly underrated. Makes the odd c**k up with the ball but is very solid defensively and should have a long career.

Shouldn’t be dropped, hasn’t been the worse on the ground, just really disappointing given north’s defence is quite possibly the worse we have ever seen in 150+ years of league footy.saintbob wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:12pmThe so called Messiah is now nothing more than a Prima Donna and should be treated as such, put him back to Sandy and make home earn his spot.Brunswicksainter wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:07pm King has been very poor today, probably his worse game for the club given how bad his direct opponent is.

Putting everything into perspective there were three N. Melbourne players rushing the ball through the goals alone in the goals Square

King looked to me like he was playing injured.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Some good performances, but pretty uninspiring all round.
Barely kicked 100 against North, only outscored them by a goal in the second half.
Darcy Wilson very good.
Dougal had a good first half then turned back into Dougal in the second.
King is constantly in a wrestle.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
A good win, but gees we are a long way from playing decent footy again.
Max Kings effort tonight was completely sub standard pathetic. His 2nd efforts are non existent and his chasing is half hearted at best. He plays like a big spoilt kid and to think he is one of our highest paid players.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
King not moving well and he isn't strong enough to wrestle
Wilson BOG
Hayes good and will be better for the run
Mid field still a struggle
Wood rusty
Some of our errors/turnovers were inexcusable
Wardlaw is a stud .... exactly what we need in the guts

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Dougal had a really good game, knuckle heads who think he isn't important to our structure is clueless...probably think Sharman is a natural forward with great running patterns.
How good did we look with Hayes in the side, he was gassed in the last and will be better for that game.
Wilson had elite written all over him, early days but it's been a while since we've had a kid come in and look that good after 8 games.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Bottom vs bottom 4 on today's form. 90% of fwd 50 entries were rubbish. Bomb after bomb. Not sure what Ross is teaching during the week but certainly playing 2024 style footy is not high in the agenda.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Just left game and I will take the win. Very positive about Wilson. Kid can play. Sinclair finding some form again and our backs were pretty solid. But our midfield isn’t great. Missing pace which we get back with liam. Forward average except fo Hayes who has a real go. Doesn’t flounce around or try to milk free kicks, just tries to get the ball.
Overall we could have won by more but then again we could have won by less.

Should be dominating a team that’s barely won a game in 2 years. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:20pmMaybe you are just too hard to please ?The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:17pm Some good performances, but pretty uninspiring all round.

Like I said, some good performances, but still same major issues.

Don't get why North can't win. They have a lot of early picks who are talented, a monster ruckman who plays well, they defend like devils, Zurhar, Larkey. Curtis. They can move the ball well, apparently well coached. They must knock someone off at Marvel, surely?

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Last year they were just as bad and we barely beat them in the return game (8 points I think)The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:36pmShould be dominating a team that’s barely won a game in 2 years. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:20pmMaybe you are just too hard to please ?The_Dud wrote: ↑Sat 04 May 2024 8:17pm Some good performances, but pretty uninspiring all round.
