Bit harsh on a 4 gamer don't you think

Just because he wears #22 and not #40 something - I don't think you should judge him by it.

He is not the Messiah - He is just a very talented boy!

Yes. A couple of things to note. He can kick either foot - I'm not even sure what his preferred is. He can take a mark. He fumbled a few times yesterday, once on the back line in the last quarter which could have been crucial. He was immediately surrounded by three Tigers. But he had the desperation to slap the ball out to waiting free Saints players. Lots to be optimistic about.

Whenever a junior in any sport steps up to the senior level, unless they are extraordinarily self-assured there is likely an element of self-doubt as to whether they truly belong. I hope that, with his two excellent last-quarter efforts ( that will certainly have drawn praise from coaches and colleagues), Darcy now recognises that he does belong at the top level, and can move forward with confidence.

Probably Wilson's best game but not yet good enough for a RS nomination.

Who beats him this week? He's got "superstar" Reid beat. Not sure who else is eligible.

Just had a look at who's eligible, Sam Darcy probably gets it.

It’s not harsh - it’s a reality

I’m a big fan - but to suggest he is a gun already is supporter jizz

I would hope our first selection DP midfielder turns out a bit better than Webster who is a GOP role player

He’s not a back pocket

Darcy lives down the road from me in the same street and hung around my young bloke playing cricket , footy and B Ball. Was up until last year in the Vic U/18's cricket program selected as a promising fast bowler, but had to make a choice. His Dad Mick currently works with the Murray Bushrangers as a talent scout and is considered a Wangaratta Rovers legend in the Ovens & Murray Football league. Mick represented Vic Country numerous times through out his footy career, and his uncle is Mick Nolan ( Galloping Gasometre) who played with North. I have so many sporting stories about Darcy I could say, but my post would go on forever......Quite simply one of those generational kids that everybody has gone to school with that dominates every& any sport they participate in. Unbelievable athlete aswell, has participated and ran at Vic Schoolboy national champs in athletics and holds just about every athletics record at his old school (Galen College)... Praying the Saints get access to him for selfish reasons, whole family are North supporters!
Can we just celebrate one of the greatest saintsational posts of all time?! I couldn’t be more impressed / excited about this lad. All the talk of the generational players…we got a sleeper here guys! Banger mk2!!
Bump!
This kid is a genius!
Kudos to you murray66

This kid looks like he could be the complete package and the first genuine elite talent we've recruited.

A long way to go but early signs are this kid could be the whole package.

Who ran through him? Presume he was merely winded and no concussion involved, but it seemed as if the Norf guy lined him up

He was sensational out there today. :)
Has skill, grunt and an amazing tank already for only an 18 year old and right now our most exciting draftee for a long time.

Darcy is going great and still has plenty of up side ahead of him! Knowing his Dad Mick I reckon when Darcy got cleaned up by Wardlaw he would have been yelling at the TV get up Boy, give them nothing.... Hard man Darcy's Dad...
