The kid is only 19 years old and his stats over his first 30 games are very similar to Goddard's first 30. He has a way to go but his attitude and commitment is brilliant

He's only three months older than half of last year's draftees.

His game time needs to be managed better. No good being the youngest player to get to 100 games and be cooked by game 150.
He needs regular breaks.

The Pou and Sheezel were drafted 7 picks apart.

Sheezel has averaged almost 30 disposals per game since.

Looks more like 700 than 7.

The draft isn't linear.

I am sure that if we were in North's shoes that we could play the kid on the half back flank where he would be unaccountable and not tagged because he's in a VFL standard team. Watch him rack up the possies.

Petracca averaged about 12 possessions in his first 30 games.

So did Brendan Goddard. So did Lenny Hayes

Why feel the need to kick a young guy who's just starting out in his career.

Poor form

Perhaps he can reflect on life after football - which should be next week. Absolute dud. We must be recruiting talent scouts from the RVIB.

So much this.

The effort is there, the talent is there. The rest will come.

There are others who lack one or the other much more worthy of supporters ire.

He isn't being gifted games- from all reports he is the hardest worker each week- he just isn't getting the results in games we and he would like. It will come though.

What about the picks 4,5,6? All spuds.

There is no doubt he is struggling, hopefully someone stands up tomorrow so Pou can be rested for a week or two.

I thought Pou was doing really well in the first half, every time he touched it he was able to break free and get quick hands to a player in good position.

It just didn't happen often enough, and I don't remember seeing him touch it in the second half.

Alas no. Once I make the dud call, it's over for the player. I have never been wrong, although perhaps I was a little harsh on Stephen Roberts in 1967. But just as he was coming good, he pissed off.

After today's game by Wilson and the Pou you can form your own opinion.

Pou isn't showing much this year and had an absolute stinker today...will he be playing at Sandy next week?

I think it’s the second year blues .
Could he play off half back ? I don’t like Bonner, too loose and his kicking let him down

Mattaes very disappointing. He is still a teenager for another 7.5 months ,and I think long term he will be very valuable , but right now he does not deserve a spot .

More goes into deciding who deserves a spot than what we see or the stats show on the AFL app.
