That's why we are 2 and 4.
We are Fullofpoo.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

King still sore?
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: Team v Port
Just seems like we're unbalanced.
We lack an experienced lock down small defender - can't wait for Jimmy and Ben to become available for senior selection.
Too slow in the forward line (we'll probably see Sharman spend half his time on the wing or in defence).
Not enough grunt in the middle.
Too many outside players across the middle -desperately need Dow and Henry in this team.

Re: Team v Port
It's probably the best 22 we have available. King still injured. No Dow, Clark, Webster, Crouch, Wood, Hayes, or Henry
You can't put in your best team in if you have 8 or 9 senior players unavailable. It's a reality we just have to accept at the moment. With luck things will get a lot better in the next month.
In the meantime, maybe it's best to stop whining about selection and just support the team we have on the park

Re: Team v Port
Just look at who the emergencies are.
3 first year players in the team which hasn’t happened since the 1980s I reckon.
Selection is seriously hampered.

Re: Team v Port
Disgusting that Hayes and Schoenmaker aren't given a go.
We are going to struggle to kick more than five goals tomorrow night.
They have us covered on every single line.

Re: Team v Port
I don't think Hayes has shown that he's playing better than Sharman.
Would have been good for Hayes to get a game in his home State, but unfair on any of the current squad of medium talls or forwards to be dropped in my opinion.

If we win they will make a sequal to Miracle On Ice.
Hayes and Scho would make little difference this week.
The cupboard is barer than its ever been.
Re: Team v Port
To all the serial complainers, list the players available for selection and not in the side
So where are the options
Given that some who are reappearing need match conditioning to be fair to them and to the side
Campbell is a journeyman on our List given injury to Marshall
Hayes had a stellar career at Woodville West Torrens but it took him until a 25 year old to get onto an AFL List hence I do not support that he will be influential at AFL level
Honest at best at AFL level and with a mature body but not overly tall
That we will be up against it tomorrow night given the side we are able to put on the park is a given
A hell of a lot is going to fall on Marshall, Sinclair, Wilkie, Hill and Steele
And Ross
The return of Howard is a positive
Then it is down to the kids, so Wanganeen-Milera, Windhager, Owens, Byrnes, Wilson, Garcia, Caminiti, Sharman and Hastie

If we're looking at throwing Cordy forward, then all is truly lost.
Hayes is a better option on many fronts than Caminiti and Cordy...And I am not sure what more Schoenmaker can do at Sandy.
It probably won't make a difference, but a statement needed to be made after last Thursday. We have done nothing even close to a statement.
I repeat...They have us covered on every single line.
Watch us play Charlie Dixon back into form!

Re: Team v Port
Perennial finalists/top 4ers with no significant injuries. Own interstate dunghill. Bloodlusting supporters. Coach under pressure. Coming off a humbling loss (if Port supporters can spell humble).
We will field two of their cast off's. Their strength: midfield our weakness midfield. Great test. Whatever happens we will take a lot of learn from the encounter.
Hope the boys hear our encouragement from way over here.
The pressure of expectation on Port will be enormous and we are tenacious

Re: Team v Port
Schoenmaker probably doesn’t drink from the Ross Lyon troph?
Bit like Jones etc…
Not sure why we have kpd ers coming out our arse when we will get run off our feet!
Bizarre
I reckon Ross doesn’t GAF
Laughing in the box after a loss, rambling pressers … it’s a bit Malcolm Blight imo

Re: Team v Port
I reckon we'll be doing well if we keep them under 135 points
Port beat North Melbourne last year by 70 points
It was played in Hobart at Blundstone Arena
65-135
