VS WB
Reading the release from StKilda today re injuries etc. and the short break sounds like King out this week.
Interesting position then as I think due to injuries mainly we have been top heavy the last 2 weeks with King, membrey, cama and Sharman(who has played wing in Woods role but only serviceable at best IMO)
Out: King (inj)
In Jones - Our best in 2's
If they did go like for like with Hayes injured I wonder if they consider Howard as a forward considering Cordy more than holding his spot?
Collard doubtful with injury .
Jones sub, Garcia in 22, Butler on notice.

Re: VS WB
Sounds about right.
Howard might have to wait a bit as Cordy seems to be playing reasonably well at the moment.

Re: VS WB
I think if anything it would be the other way around, Cordy forward and Dougall back. Pretty sure Cordy played forward start of last year when King was out with the shoulder?older saint wrote: ↑Tue 16 Apr 2024 1:35pm If they did go like for like with Hayes injured I wonder if they consider Howard as a forward considering Cordy more than holding his spot?
But I don't think Howard will come straight in this week, maybe another week building match fitness.

Re: VS WB
King out, Jones to sub, Garcia to start. I don't mind that.
Hastie unlucky (again).
Ross also mentioned Schoenmaker and Keeler as some who are in the frame.

Re: VS WB
As someone said, Howard plays full back and Cordy goes forward.
Worry is that the Bulldogs are getting a lot of media attention right now and it's our 3rd game in about 15 days.

Re: VS WB
We won't get anywhere playing injured players - team balance is important but good form in the magoos must be rewarded and if Jones was the best in the magoos, come on down!

Well, we'll certainly be match conditioned, won't we?Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 16 Apr 2024 9:06pm As someone said, Howard plays full back and Cordy goes forward.

Re: VS WB
Rnd 4 on the 7th....Rnd 5 on 13th and now we come up again on the 18th
That's 7th -18th is 12 days inclusive
3 games within 12 days
Thankfully no Libba and thankfully the Doggies players are treading water until Bevo is sacked

Re: VS WB
Will be a hard game to win even if King was in the dogs have a superior forward line and midfield where as our defence is a little stronger all this points to a loss but anything is possible.

Just about guarantee's a loss
This seems to happen to us a few times each year .
We play a team under the pump and either just scrape
a win or more often than not we lose .

Re: VS WB
Being under the pump from the 2000 journalists that cover AFL, daily, weekly, all looking for copy that generates talk, does that really put a club under pressure. It's the one common in AFL every year, journos going after a coach.mr six o'clock wrote: ↑Wed 17 Apr 2024 11:28pmJust about guarantee's a loss

I think Bevo laughs at them, without showing them he thinks they are comedic.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Does everyone realise that for 100 years, when everyone played on a Saturday, that everyone played 3 games in 15 days?Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 16 Apr 2024 9:06pm As someone said, Howard plays full back and Cordy goes forward.

Re: VS WB
Goes without saying absolute must win tonight. 8 point match. Cannot be losing to the likes of the dogs and expect to make top 8. The bombers loss hurt this would be curtains in my mind

Re: VS WB
The Dogs think they are a top 4 side and they certainly have a healthy core of proven top 4 performers so I’ve been surprised by some of our fans thinking we should account for them easy.
If they turn it on they will account for us easy but that’s the fascinating aspect to this game for the neutrals. If we win Bevo will possibly be sacked as they expect to beat us.
