Votes v Giants
Just trying to get the heart rate down a bit so I can type.
5. Brad Hill. Gut running all day.
4. Rowan Marshall. Such a mobile follower .
3. Jack Steele. Never gives up.
I think those three stood out.
2. Zane Cordy. Dougal will have to bide his time.
1. Marcus Windhager. Tagged well and found quite a bit of it too.

Re: Votes v Giants
Loved the fightback from the team. Loved the effort of our leaders and their never give up attitude.
Jack Steele and Brad Hill were good all day, but absolutely awesome in the last quarter. They have big hearts.
We have a few footballers that do dumb things at times, but no one can question their work rate and endouvour.

Just listened to the after match presser.
I think Ross Lyon said that Rowan Marshall has a heart the size of Phar Lap

I thought our forwards played well apart from King and Butler. King reminds me of Kurt Tippett. Not because Max can ruck, but because Kurt had 1 good game every 5....and both overpaid

I am afraid a 1 word vote cannot be counted - except for a 1

Yeah I know. As I’ve said in the past just disregard any s*** I’ve put on this thread. I just wanted to say that I thought he was the best on ground and without him I reckon we would’ve got flogged.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Sat 13 Apr 2024 9:39pmI am afraid a 1 word vote cannot be counted - except for a 1

Re: Votes v Giants
5 It would be hard to imagine a better captain's game than Jack Steele's today.
4 RoMa's clearance rate was exceptional and his game could only have been capped off if he'd kicked that goal in the last.
3 Brad Hill got it a lot and ran more than most.
2 Jack Sinclair came good in the last when he was placed on the ball.
1 Riley Bonner was good for most of the day, others gifted turnover goals on the backline this week.

Re: Votes v Giants
Can't question Rowan's work rate and desire to win the footy, but RoMa lets himself down by continuously wanting to kick the ball instead of handballing to a team mate.
22 kicks and 6 handballs. He kicked it 7 x in the last quarter and handballed only twice. Disposal Efficiency in the last quarter was 22%!
It's an area of his game that has to improve if he wants to be a better team player. His disposal efficiency for the day was 57%. I understand he's a clearance beast but 8 turnovers and countless clangers hurt you the other way.
Ryan's Disposal Efficiency for the day was 74%. Ryan Byrnes had only 3 turnovers all day.
Ryan worked his butt off in the last quarter (as did a majority of the team). He had 7 touches in the last. Ryan's Disposal Efficiency in the last q was 57%...which surprisingly...was better than Hill's DE for that last quarter

Re: Votes v Giants
We don’t have the best midfield going around. I have no problem with Marshall getting his own ball and kicking it out. He doesn’t have a degoey or Martin to give it to. I thought it worked well for him and the team.Scollop wrote: ↑Sun 14 Apr 2024 5:48pm Can't question Rowan's work rate and desire to win the footy, but RoMa lets himself down by continuously wanting to kick the ball instead of handballing to a team mate.
