Levelled that quarter.
So lost the first quarter.
Levelled the second quarter but could have got up if Owens kicked the bloody easiest set shot.
Need to lift in the third.

If Owen had kicked that we would be right back in it
some of our horrible turnovers were costly but we are not getting out played.
We are losing this they are not winning it

Sharman is a complete dud but we are now down to playing duds because of injuries. Owens was possibly robbed of a goal because he marked near the square line not where the umpire placed the mark..

Skill level is deplorable
To miss a goal from 10m out is unforgivable- shocking
King is a fkn sook - no effort - an zero fks given

At that point we were getting outplayed. They missed a few as well but agree, we should be 10 points closer. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 13 Apr 2024 4:03pmIf Owen had kicked that we would be right back in it

King is a lazy Prima Donna. With his height and speed he should be dominating. His appalling facial and body language speaks volumes for his attitude. Throw him into the ruck make him earn the hard ball. Switch things up.

King is worst on ground
In 10 minutes he was embarrassed by Taylor now he is getting flogged by Buckley
Sharman and Byrnes are not AFL quality players

Re: Match Thread Saints v Giants Round 5 2024
Someone suggested we should see what we could get trading him.
Right now, that's looking like something to explore.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Giants Round 5 2024
Somewhat spicy take: would anyone consider trading king for a first + second rounder? Looks increasingly clearer that he won't deliver on potential for us.
Collard should have also played instead of Butler. Been putrid again.

Max King could potentially be the best CHB, who knows... but for some reason he is only seen as a FF?

Re: Match Thread Saints v Giants Round 5 2024
King will probably still get a Mill plus a year when his next contract is negotiated, is he worth that, not for what he's shown today, so far.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Giants Round 5 2024
Maybe the boss needs to have some balls and drop The Juggler to the VFL as a statement….we have other talls who could and should then spread out in the forward line

Re: Match Thread Saints v Giants Round 5 2024
It’s not about trading him
It’s about getting the best out of him
We are not doing that, he is not playing to anywhere near his capabilities

Re: Match Thread Saints v Giants Round 5 2024
Put him in the ruck, he’s not the messiah everyone thinks he is.
A stint in the ruck and it might just toughen him up, if not f*** him off to the VFL.

Should have picked Rozee over King as Toce wanted. Was overruled by the ex CEO/COO
