This is why I said we need Garcia in the middle, yet we put turn-over Byrnes in there and he’s screwed up so many times. Put Mitchito Owens in the middle for one quarter Ross just to see what the fans are talking about

I've had my say about Byrnes. He's AA in terms of the effort he puts in, but sub-AFL standard in terms of his skillset. But he did a terrific smother close to the end of the quarter. As his best attributes are pace and stamina, he's always going to be better on a larger ground.

We are the least skilful and slowest side in the AFL. Teams usually come back in the second quarter after such a start. This will pretty tell what the rest of the season is likely to look like.
