Re: Team vs Richmond Round 3
Windhager -> King would probably be our most top heavy side in recent memory with King, Membrey, Sharman, Caminiti, Owens all going forward at points.
Guessing Caminiti or Sharman probably come out also

Re: Team v Tigers
They can drop Caminiti and play Campbell off the bench.
Maybe swap out Butler for Collard and Bonner for Garcia.

Re: Team v Tigers
That team tells us FA
It’s a squad - there’s 26 named!!!
Can’t see two ruckman being picked - which is good
At AFL level Campbell is an average ruckman and worse forward
He’s definitely break glass in emergency

Yes, only one of Marshall or Campbell will play.
Being interstate TC gets a trip just in case.

There hasn't been a video of Hugo calling Mum or of a teasing announcement at a team meeting, no heart warming story featuring mates, so maybe Hugo isn't going to play?

Re: Team v Tigers
I’m a not thrilled by this.
By this logic… one would think that either Caminati or Coops would be sub for the sake of balance. Neither is an ideal choice as a come on impact player.
Hastie starts back and I assume frees someone up to play more midfield. Maybe Sinclair or Bonner.
I’d have liked to have Collard rewarded for his good performance with a game in SA. Maybe drop Butler or perhaps Wilson could use a rest.

Re: Team v Tigers
Will be good for young Darcy to line up against some young inexperienced opposition. Same for Pou
They have a couple of shortarses in their backline and we have Skunk, Coops, King and the Hammer
I like the gamble with our tall timber. Also perfectly suited to our bomb it long game

Re: Team v Tigers
Not thrilled by it either. So Butler can stay in the side for a champagne goal that just made it in, but Collard who bags 4 and did some nice tackling gets an emergency?skeptic wrote: ↑Fri 05 Apr 2024 6:08pm I’m a not thrilled by this.

Hugo Garcia would be a good like for like for Windy and he did very well on the weekend and kicked a goal. Again gets emergency? What kind of message does that send to our team?
Bonner should be subbed for his zero tackling pressure, 17 clangers (most in history) and his long bombs to half back when you had free players out on the other side.
Gone way too tall. Mitchito should be played in the midfield if Caminiti is playing to cover Windy.
Not thrilled with this selection at all.

Re: Team v Tigers
Let's hope one of them gets the nod as second ruck instead of Michito, who we need as a ground mid at clearances in the absence of Crouch, Windy, etc

Re: Team v Tigers
Sharman will be the sub and play anywhere as needed.
Also don't read too much into the team sheet for the lineup. Owens could well have 60% CBA.

Re: Team v Tigers
This whole play anywhere "versatile" thing is a myth, pretty much every player on a modern AFL field plays everywhere, the reality is Coops is being used as a clasic Lyon "role player", which unfortunately means he just doesn't have the tool kit to be anything else.
I'll be happy to be proven wrong but one good game every 20 games puts you in the "role player" category until you can prove otherwise.
And with a Lyon game plan that still probably means you can be a contributor.

He loves to bash Sharman.
Scollop what are your thoughts on the side? I rate your views recently so keen to hear what you think about the side the team is putting up?

Re: Team v Tigers
Hopefully this is one those one in 20 games where he puts in a good performance, I'm always worried when we go into a match as heavy favourites and the opposition have got a bunch of their best 22 out.
We are frightfully inexperienced ourselves and not really playing that well alos which can generally mean good form is hard to just switch on.
