Norwood or Baltimore?Scollop wrote: ↑Sat 30 Mar 2024 11:01pmIt's going cheap too. It's second hand but was very reliable and in use for over 50 years....

Sorry... couldn't help myself. Tragic event
Back to the coach/coaches.
I feel like some mistakes were made from the coaches, but for a large part of the game today we were travelling well and could have even pinched it in the end.
We needed a goal kicker in that last quarter. Sharman should have stayed on the park imo
Ross set the team up and prepared the players as best as he could. Unfortunately we missed too many set shots.

Seems like we have our own local expert for Adelaide next week
For All those Saints supporters that can make it to the ground early, Killa is giving us a guided tour of Norwood Oval and it's facilities
No he's not I'm just messing with you Killa

Re: Match thread. Saints V Bombers
Sharman had a head clash with an opponent (nothing in it) late in the third qtr and was probably the reason he was subbed off.
Bonner really needs to go. Give Shoey a shot next week.
Wilkie only took 4 marks. I thought he wasn't his usual reliable self dropping marks he would normally take.
King comes in for Caminiti (unless Sharman has concussion).
Butler hopefully will be better for the run.
Only 3 goals in the second half is pretty s***.

Re: Match thread. Saints V Bombers
It’s not even Martin…
It’s McGrath and Heppel as well. All had 30 disposals.
But that’s the Ross Lyon brand. You remove one or more player(s) from different areas of the ground but it exposes weaknesses.
For instance if you remove pressure players from Forward 50 you might gain pressure in centre clearances. If you want more intercepts in defence you push Marshall there but when you exit you have no big contested marks up further in the ground.
What I can’t grasp is how Ross Lyon can’t see opposition teams accumulate big numbers in our defensive 50 and hurst us coming out. It’s Luke Ryan from Freo R1 last year got 35+ disposals, it’s Sicilly, it’s Daicos, it’s Martin/McGrath/Heppell, it’s Stewart/Holmes. Happens nearly every game that a classy defender just gets unaccounted for.

Re: Match thread. Saints V Bombers
It really was like watching a slow motion train wreck.
We lost it , they didn’t win it.
Sadly missed Henry and King.
Carrying too many kids.
Also carrying experienced players like Butler who don’t deserve a spot on current form.
Feel like that loss may be season defining . Will sting again if we miss finals by 1 game. Hopefully we beat Richmond because I can’t see us beating the Giants.

This might be a bit left field but I would love to see them blood Isaac Keeler - this guy's ceiling is unlimited, reminds me a lot Paddy Ryder and think the earlier we get him in the better.
Arie also needs to come in for Cordy

Apparently Fox showed vision of Windhager bump on Essendon player's head which will get looked at by tribunal. Hopefully not another suspension as we're already thin

Can't be suspended for that! If that happens then all players should have to wear helmets.
