Re: Crab watch
Didn’t say he was BOG
Said he was near bog - he had a great game at HF 23 and 5t and a goal with a 73% DE
They are elite numbers across HF
Got in the coaches votes
BTW
6 times he’s been voted Best On
Has received 32 Brownlow votes as a HFF
Not bad for a VFL player
He did play a VFL game a few years back - I was there
He had a lazy 54 possessions playing as an inside mid

Re: Crab watch
He will be a better player for St Kilda than Billings.

Re: Crab watch
It's hilarious that you first think he was "near BOG" and then you mention the coaches votes to back up your argument
Crab is not a player who wins you matches. He wasn't the reason Melbourne dominated. It was the Melbourne mids. He's not a mid. He's a half forward
Billings had 4 contested possessions Liam Henry had 8. Nothing new for Billings. 1 clearance and 5 inside 50s for Jack. 1 clearance and 6 inside 50s for Liam. Jack had a good game, but Liam's was better.
By the way ...who scored more AFLCA votes? Billings or Henry?

Liam Henry will turn out to be a better player than Billings ever was for St.Kilda in.the future
Maybe you should be following Melbourne now that Billings has gone there you seem to be infatuated by him.
Personally I did cart wheels when.told he had been.picked up by Melbourne .
Should of happened earlier overpaid under achieved

Re: Crab watch
Did Billings never play a good game at StK?
How many HFs in the AFl average 20ppg
Just because you want to believe he was bad - doesn’t make him bad
He plays a tough position- he has finished top 5 in the B&F, polled 32 Brownlow votes
He played 155 games
He’s no Bont - but no one is, he’s the best player in the comp.
But

Re: Crab watch
Soft as butter?
A guy who played 150 games for the club.
He’s no Jack Steele but that is a disgraceful comment.
I’ll guess who is soft as butter, and it’s not Jack Billings Boom Boom.
And what’s with the Boom Boom crap?
By the style of your writing I’m guessing your not a John Lee Hooker fan so you’re probably an obsessed Boris Becker stalker.

Re: Crab watch
Thought I'd add Nick Coffield to the Crab Watch.
Didn't exactly make much of an impression in his first outing for the Dogs. Should get better though as he's missed a lot of footy.

Re: Crab watch
I’m on your side here… but decent games in easy wins against mediocre opposition aren’t making your point for you.
No one ever doubted that Billings can play good games or that he’s a capable performer.
The issue is his ability to produce consistently against quality opposition.
Melbourne have played one quality team so far this year and lost.
In that game, Billings played a quarter and a half for a handball and gave away a free. For his pay cheque you’re wanting marquee performances in big games or at least producing results against the run. Seeing Billings be amongst the best players in a bad loss to Port in Adelaide is a better metric then getting easy kicks vs Hawthorn

Re: Crab watch
Are you saying Billings has never played a good game against good opposition?
Not sure I agree with that?
I just look at his body of work over 160 games as a HF/wing
And his numbers stack up
It’s a bit like the false narrative that he is soft

Re: Crab watch
lol. Well he’s definitely not hard.
Billings is definitely capable of good football and I for one am amazed at the way he’s going the last 2 weeks at Melbourne.
Good luck to him. Apparently was a nice guy so I wish him well, but I’m more than happy with what we have ( Liam Henry) playing his position

Re: Crab watch
And I’m sure Melbourne are happy with what they got for a fourth round pick with StK picking up half his salary

Re: Crab watch
And we are happy Melbourne are happy and Jacks happy he didn't have to play against Maynard Thursday. So it's win win win. Although it is believed Melbourne are slightly upset it didn't know Bonner was available.
