Re: Liam Henry hammy?
Maybe Ross is telling porkies because at his presser he said Henry may just have severe cramp.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Damn, he was looking so good too!

Re: Liam Henry hammy?
I don’t mean to be rude but there is no like for like replacement for Henry on the list.
He is the exactly the type of player we have been wanting for the last 15-20 years.
He’s out of the box!

King has been offered a 1 game suspension.

Phillipou is playing with a sore hip. It was noticeable as he entered the rooms after the game that he was very sore. He's been carrying it for a few weeks. Let's hope it's not going to be an issue

Re: Liam Henry hammy?
It kills me. As soon as we get any sort of ascendency, the football gods throw a spanner in the works. He looked so dangerous in the first two games. I was really looking forward to the prospect of seeing him run amok on opposition teams at the fast track of Docklands. Can only hope his hamstrings aren’t a recurring issue. But what I don’t understand is that he wasn’t wearing an ice pack on his hamstring and he looked to be up and about with his teammates in the rooms after the match.
In the meantime, Collard and Butler would seem to be logical replacements for him.

I think everyone is guessing at severity...but Talking Footy said he'd had scans and it was severe ( graded just below requiring surgery). 6-9 weeks to recover & 3 weeks conditioning.

Re: Liam Henry hammy?
Real shame for Henry.
Great preseason and has been very good in his first two outings for the club.
Already a fan favorite and already showing signs of being a better player than I thought he was going to be. Loved him nailing the set shot outside 50. Could be a bargain pick up.
I was really looking forward to him playing higher up the ground and using his run and carry.
Hope he recovers quickly and fully.

Re: Liam Henry hammy?
This has saddened me more than any other single event at the club in probably over 15 years. Why is it just when we find a player that is something special including having serious X factor this happens. Just once I'd like to win a big game and for things to not turn to crap afterwards.
Here's hoping he can get back to full fitness and form real soon.

I'm with you Vortex. Really sad at this injury news. And on top of losing Mason Wood too. Took the shine off our amazing win.

Re: Liam Henry hammy?
f***!!! Massive loss, there isn't a replacement. Without him it would've been a lot closer on Thursday. We may not even have won it.
