Darcy Moore and his headphones.
Arrived at the G expecting a massive Pies challenge. What I witnessed in the pre game warm up filled me with confidence of a Saints win. The Magpies Captain spent the whole warm up wearing large headphones. I thought either he forgot they were on his head and he's not switched on or he's just so full of himself and all the publicity has gone to his head.

A lot of athletes who have worked with sports psychologists will listen to music that gets them into a performance zone during a warm up.digswell wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2024 3:37pm Arrived at the G expecting a massive Pies challenge. Not unusual IMO.

Re: Darcy Moore and his headphones.
Sorry I meant the on ground warm up where players are doing team drills and line coaches are adding input. Have never seen any other player doing this. Have seen plenty wearing them in the rooms warming up. Watch a lot of EPL and don't see those players wearing their headphones during on ground warm up drills. Maybe its an American sports thing.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2024 5:19pmA lot of athletes who have worked with sports psychologists will listen to music that gets them into a performance zone during a warm up.digswell wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2024 3:37pm Arrived at the G expecting a massive Pies challenge. Just an obtuse question but is he gay? Everything about him to me looks like he is a real confused young man.

I believe it was told he listens to Tony Robbins...it goes something like this....or so they say...
Play on repeat.
"And you sir, are a goddam legend."
Tony Robbins, 1983...from the best selling book..."You Beautiful Bastard You Deserve to buy a $5900 Feel Special Seminar"

He was the subject of rumors a few years ago that he would be the first player in the AFL to come out as gay.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Fri 22 Mar 2024 11:10pm Just an obtuse question but is he gay? Everything about him to me looks like he is a real confused young man.
A close friend of mine who is in a senior position with the HS, otherwise known as the official, "Collingwood Football Club Newsletter", was the source, claiming that he got it from the sports writers on the staff.
As Jerry Seinfeld said,"Not that there's anything wrong with that!"
I also forgot to mention some of his other favorite music acts are Barbra Streisand, Elton John and Holly Johnson (RIP) from Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Re: Darcy Moore and his headphones.
Seems an excellent captain, obviously an excellent player, certainly impressive orator.
I can understand why pregame he would not want to listen to McRea's endless rhetorical questions delivered in that halting, stuttering, disturbing rhythm of his. It could do your head in. Just focus.

I don’t mind Darcy, he’s one of the good ones.

Who cares?

Overrated
Plays off his man, makes errors that cost goals.
High profile because of where he plays

Re: Darcy Moore and his headphones.
I’ve seen a few other players at different clubs do this. He likes to sike himself with music before a game. Nothing unusual about that!

Re: Darcy Moore and his headphones.
Certainly not
He’s a soft c**k!
If I were coaching against Collingwood I’d want my players to go through his opponent
Because he’s normally zoning 20m off him trying to get an uncontested intercept mark
And he turns it over more than Dougle

Premiership Captain, 2x AA…
But that’s nothing compared to Seb making the AA squad that one time…

Re: Darcy Moore and his headphones.
As I said
High profile because of the club is at
Watch him closely- he gets multiple goals kicked on him
- and turns it over - notice how he didn’t take King?
Can’t stand the smug arrogant prick!
Why are we comparing him to Seb???
Obviously I like Seb more
He plays for StK, He’s captained StK, He’s a dual club champion, and humble as they come!
Moore is a conceited twat
If you like him so much - support Collingwood
