Apart from the excellent work of Windhager and NWM, Membrey has played well again: he's come back to football in good form. Marshall, Wilkie and Steele have been wonderful as always. Stocker has done well too.

And Ross has been pretty good, certainly a lot better than last week. Higgins likewise

It's a damn shame Webster is out for so long, as Bonner isn't good enough IMO.

Cordy and Sharman haven't bothered me as much as some other posters: they've both been reasonable IMO. All players make mistakes, you have to look at their entire performances.

The midfield is stop and prop once they lose possession. Windy is trying hard, but none of the midfield is controlling the ball. The forward line is all over the shop- playing from behind, out of position.
We have two strong marks in King and Membrey who won't play in front for some reason, trying to play like crumbers rather than key forwards. We lack a CHF. Put Sharman down back, bring Cordy up to CHF and play Steele at FF and run Max in the ruck.
Three bad turnovers from deep in the backline - NWM, Bonner and Cordy. If the midfield doesn't start controlling the ball, then we're out of it- giving Collingwood too many sniffs.

Oh, and re Phillipou watch: once again, he ain't doing much. Owens has been ok though.

Bonner has looked off the pace and looks to be lacking grunt/ effort tonight. Cordy should be informed to handball only.

Windhager looks at home at the clearances, Henry lively when it’s in his area, NWM probably our best along with Marshall. Steele back to a tackling machine.

The ferocious pace and intensity against a top club is a good lesson for young Wilson.
