On the topic of demographic markers being introduced by corporations, I can thoroughly recommend listening to the Dark Horse podcast with Professors Dr Brett Winestein and Heather Hein who provide their insight from an evolutionary biologists perspective.

Kind of adds a little science to the debate of why the best candidate should be chosen over being selected to meet a quota of demographic markers.

Let's get back to the issue here, of the incorrect call on the free kick and the dog act from Dangerfield.

A free kick to be awarded against any player who makes forceful contact below the knees of an opponent (does not apply to smothers with the hands or arms).

It was not below the knees - it was a knee - hence the reason Stocker has to face a fitness test.

We've got to stop being timid. We've got to stop being bullied on the playing field. We can't become successful if we accept that sort of act from a player like Dangerfield.

He is a dog and I agree he needed Stockers team mates to do something...but maybe they're afraid of the backlash from the media and the potential fines from the AFL.

Remember how Cyclops Mongol reacted when Nas attempted to give Dempsey a little ear massage?

The captain and the leadership team need to have a meeting with the coach and the football department and the directors and president of the club.

Make a stand and stop allowing these sorts of things from the more powerful clubs.

Is the club willing to help players with fines and the like so that ALL players are confident the club has their back?
