Stocker Free
Disgrace
He got to the ball first - had to dive forward to reach it
Won the contest for his team
Imagine if he didn’t go - he’d be in the fkn VFL next week!!!!
Penalised for a strong football action
But that’s OK - clueless fkn Laura Kane is comfortable’ with the decision- like she has any fkn idea!!!!
Never kicked a ball in anger - and should stay out of footy related issues - hang on - that’s her job - FFS seriously
I bet she’ll be ‘comfortable’ with nearly everything this season
I bet if Myers got pinned for time wasting throwing Marshall’s boot 30m away she’d be ‘comfortable’
F***ing hopeless

Re: Stocker Free
worst free kick I have seen in a long time, the rule is now being exploited by players who are second to the contest, instead of going for the pill, they just run straight at the bloke on the ground who risked his body. It goes against everything the game should stand for. Dangerfield made absolutely no attempt to bend for the ball

Re: Stocker Free
Joke of a decision and even more of a joke of a response.
I hope she gets picked apart in the media.
If it were a big 4 vic club she would be hung drawn and quartered over it.

Re: Stocker Free
If anything, I reckon Dangerfield jumped into Stocker knees first, which I consider both dangerous and un-sportsman like, causing injury to the player going for the ball.
The rule, or the interpretation simply goes against the spirit of the game. A disgrace.

Re: Stocker Free
From her recent interview by Eddie and his mates it would seem that Laura Kane would be an ideal politician - quite a bit of waffle and a lack of substance in her answers. Still a very reactive organisation the AFL. Despite all their supposed concerns re concussion their week to week interpretations on striking etc are baffling. Concussion has apparently been a focus for some time now but you wouldn't haven't known it given the inconsistent suspensions over the last season or so. Apparently the landscape has now changed hence Jimmy Webster's lengthy suspension. Really? Will be interesting when cases get to court and the AFL have to back their stance vs their actions when it comes to head knocks.
No question in my mind that Stocker should have received the free kick, not Dangerfield.

Re: Stocker Free
She is comfortable with it and glad no injury? Stocker didn’t leave the field right? Gee whiz.
Typical political spin bulls***.
Maybe we should ask her when the exact date of the North draft pick review will be. Oh wait right they already traded them. No one saw that happening either.
As for Marshall boot throw. Did they even ask Miers if that was his intent to clear the back of the stoppage? No? So more crap!

Re: Stocker Free
What she meant - was that player Dangerfield was not injured and then went on to make an impact on the scoreboard.
Did Stocker come back on??

Re: Stocker Free
What she meant to say is that obviously the decision was correct as Dangerfield walked away with a free kick.
Anything other than Dangerfield being in the right is completely unacceptable.

Re: Stocker Free
Can't wait for the dropped knees if someone is prone in front of you - so 10 seconds into the game on Thursday one of our players can drop the knee into Daicos' back - and then again and then again - as long as he is lower than them as they approach the ball (which is already past them)SinCitySainter wrote: ↑Mon 18 Mar 2024 7:12pm What she meant to say is that obviously the decision was correct as Dangerfield walked away with a free kick.

Re: Stocker Free
What would be the outcome if Stocker was hit in the head, that would be confusing for the AFL or would it still be penalised for below the knees?

Re: Stocker Free
Lead with the head directly below the knees as a new tackling technique...that should have the legal department at AFL HQ scrambling for their risk assessment text books.

Re: Stocker Free
I am ok with the umpiring mistake - it happens
But to double down on it from the ‘football boss’ after replays clearly showing Stocker was first to the ball and Danger running into Stocker with his knees - Danger was not in a position to win the footy - he was trying to make contact with Stocker to make a contest

Re: Stocker Free
In this case - still below the knees - after all according to Laura Kane - "We are pleased players didn't have to leave injured, and Dangerfield went on to make an impact on the scoreboard"

Fkn clueless and should fk off
She’s out of her depth with no idea about the actual game
Where does her expertise come from???
She’s the footy boss with FA understanding of the game - but it is a woke appointment

Re: Stocker Free
Terrible rule. Must protect the player with his head over the ball at all costs. Typical woke, useless AFL
