Run of the mill session

I’ve seen about 8-10 sessions

They are pretty much identical

Big focus
Spread and ball movement from stoppage and transition from defence to offence and vice versa

Crouch is an interesting one for this season.
Was very good last season and had a great first half of the season.
Was much leaner last year than previous years and obviously very fit.

Do you (BM) think the knee injury has effected his pre-season and does he start the season behind the eight ball fitness wise.
Crouch has been a VG FA acquisition.

Of best 22 only Sinclair and Windhager in doubt with Clark already ruled out.
Dow as a fringe/ probable option also doubtful.

Assume Membrey just being rested.

Crouch was super fit last pre season - he didn’t miss a session

This season he has been on a modified program

Might start a bit slower?

Should play Sunday

I think Sincs and Windhager will be right in R2

Butler and Dow will most likely play VFL the week after

Hayes, Hunts and Van Es probably a couple after that

Paton after the bye

NWM
King
Wilson
Garcia
Henry
Dow
Clark- until he got injured
Steele

Have all impressed me

Owens - I like - I don’t think he’s the second coming of Wayne Carey- like a few supporters- but he a good competitor

What’s your analysis of Wilson overall… I know that you’re a fan but I do enjoy your break downs.

How much will he play this year
Strengths
What does he need to work on
What’s the best player comparison

He’s an allrounder

Good power, good speed, good acceleration, elite endurance
Good skills, takes the game on, good size (187), reads the game well.

I think he’s an absolute steal - will be A Grade within 3 years

Thats a big wrap on the kid, but he moves very similiar to Kelly. If he becomes as good we have an absolute winner on our hands.

I was hoping we would have a season with minimal injuries, but its not starting well again?

There's optimism, there is unbridled hope, there is hardcore supporter bias and then comparing J. Kelly with D. Wilson. One AA proven finals performer the other uncapped. At least we are not calling him the next "Bradman".
But after Darcy wins the Rising Star we might well do.

It was a comparison

Not

He’s as good as or will be as good as

He might even end up better, or not

My observation- he’s going to be a ripper

NWM seems to be missing. Was this just an oversight?
