Last year Franklin was putrid in the games I saw
As I said, they are better off without him

You wrote that he was a hindrance. He clearly wasn’t with those stats.

Re: David King on St Kilda 2024
Geelong took out 1st and 2nd and had a very good crumber/opportunist at their heals all in the top 7. Only 5 teams had players who kicked more, who were basically their only effective target.B.M wrote: ↑Wed 14 Feb 2024 8:52am 9th in the Coleman
So 8 teams had players who kicked more goals
As I said - OK
But nothing special
And just because others kick goals doesn’t mean the didn’t kick it to him entering i50
BTW - obviously they don’t go to him EVERY time - it was tongue in cheek exaggeration to make a point - most would’ve got it
Tongue in which cheek?
Don't worry about responding, I don't want to know and am pretty sure I know the answer.
You make things up to support your opinion, talking out your ass Mart, hence my suspicion on where you keep your tongue and then back track to reality very often or go silent very quickly.
You are entitled to an opinion, I'm glad you spoke up for yours again. Very entertaining for me personally
Most already understand that.

Re: David King on St Kilda 2024
One interesting thing I noticed on the AFL website article today re average age and experience for each side now that lists have been finalised, is that there are only 3 teams with more who have played 100 games on their list than the 16 we have. Brisbane and Geelong (18), and WB, (17).
We’re in the go-zone.

The equally wise Nathan Buckley is also all aboard the Saints train.

Re: David King on St Kilda 2024
Bucks was seriously anti Saints last year. Egg on face.
Plus he would be smarting from Mcrea winning a premiership when he didn't. So he may be losing self confidence. Now he is guessing we will Improve. As Joey said on Saints TV, they all guess - unbiasedly. And most teams Improve you just have to improve more relative to the others.
As long as we have Howard as full back and no stand in for Ro we are problematic, and the new look mids are yet to be tested.
Henry means improvement as does Wilson. Rest is hope.

It might be “hope”, but last year we finished 7th (after finals, 6th after H&A) despite for a big chunk of the season having our marking targets up forward being Zaine Cordy and a baby Anthony Caminiti, with 20yo Mitch Owens as the 3rd-banana, and an 18yo Phillipou getting 12 touches a game as the 4th, whereas this year it looks like being a fitter Max King, Tim Membrey and Cooper Sharman as the main 3, which is a monster upgrade if it happens.Yorkeys wrote: ↑Mon 26 Feb 2024 9:53pm Bucks was seriously anti Saints last year. Those 3 got to play together just twice last season (for 2 5 goal+ wins).
As for the midfield, there are certainly no guarantees of it improving, but it’s hard to imagine it will be any worse than it was last year, when Steele was hampered by about 4 different injuries and came just 9th in the B&F, Jones played just 3 games and Clark seemed to run out of puff- he didn’t have more than 20 disposals in any of his last 10 games, after having more than 20 in 7 of his first 9.
With Steele going in fully fit this time, Jones seemingly fit at the moment at least (once out of concussion protocols) and Clark likely to be much better for another preseason, things would have to go pretty diabolically in there for it to be worse.
